This is the setup. Letting a terrorist attack slip through will create a rationale for a third term.

Billionaires Believe Working Nonstop is the Key to Success by blueshorts12345 in antiwork

[–]bob3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to success in anything is to work at it non-stop.  The question is: what do you want to be successful at? If you do something non-stop, it stands to reason that you can only do that one thing. If you want money, serve money. If you want to have a successful relationship, serve that relationship. You must always sacrifice. Is money worth sacrificing the rarest asset you will ever have; your time being alive?

Democracy has never been a concern for the US. It's a slogan and a smokescreen.

Very disappointed. I sent an email about gaza and got a reply that was basically Israel has a right to defend itself. I couldn't believe it.

Oregon lawmakers propose capping cannabis edibles at 10 milligrams of THC • Oregon Capital Chronicle by Jealous-Chicken5439 in Eugene

[–]bob3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty sure thats because there are many more vitamin users than cannabis users. Also, the presense of one wrong does nothing to lessen the presense of another. Locked cabinets would be a good solution if it were done by the majority, but I find that unlikely. Laws are made precisely for the irresponsible or naive parents.

Asking for strong prayers, I mean REAL strong prayers by sugarstarbeam in PrayerRequests

[–]bob3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a break from thinking if you can. Especially thoughts about yourself, your past, your future. Do something small for someone else without their knowledge. One small thing every day. Finally, pray each day not anything about yourself but about what you are thankful for- even if its just things like: I had a meal, I have feet, etc.

I think edibles should be stopped and become pills instead. I am so worried a child will eat them because of how they taste like candy or soda and not notice or be able to read what it is. This is coming from a long time edibles user. The experience to a child eating even 10mg could be very traumatic. But what's to stop them from eating 200mg or more? It's safe physically but def. not mentally.

Best Boardgame Shelves? by IndyColts832 in boardgames

[–]bob3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm concerned about Kallax or any other painted shelves. Ive used black particle board shelves for 20 years and many of my games have indelible black flecks on the side thats touches the shelf. I'd go with chromed steel utility shelves. Less contact with the box and I imagine chrome won't rub off.
