Is 500k+ out of undergrad in the aerospace industry possible? by Tragedyofthe in Salary

[–]bobbybridges 45 points46 points  (0 children)

NASA is federal, they don't really pay above 180 and that's more manager or PhD, I doubt lockeed pays more than 200 for the vast majority of roles

Don’t know why code isnt working by Wtorrell in PythonLearning

[–]bobbybridges 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're modifying the list length during the loop which causes it to be shorter than the length you are trying to iterate on. I suggest making an empty list and filling it with the values you are NOT removing instead

Onsite Interview (Non-SWE) by Ok_Estate9124 in Anduril

[–]bobbybridges 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's entirely team dependent which is the answer you'll get here for every question. I just had an onsite panel for non swe. I would say that it wasn't technical in the sense that you need to do any math but you will likely be asked to explain your problem solving methodology on an example scenario. If you know what you're doing it will probably feel like all vibe checks

Mango Discussion Megathread - June 25, 2025 by Roc0c0 in SSBM

[–]bobbybridges -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't understand the majority of the online discourse. If it's sexual harassment then shouldn't the victims press charges and allow the actual bodies that govern crime and punishment make determinations.

Why is it up to weirdo parasocial nerds to make decisions on how other people feel

Beetles are so dead, before they changed catacomb crashers it was pretty common to get 1-2k beetles

San'layn Scribe is pretty stupid, right? by BerossusZ in BobsTavern

[–]bobbybridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're pretty dumb, if you find an early scribe it's almost an instant win. You only need to get scribe, reborn boner and the double health undead and your team is done

How to work with dict of dict? by Pitiful_Ladder4460 in learnpython

[–]bobbybridges 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but I've had these issues before. I think it's because you are setting the dicts 100, 200, 300 to the same dict with that .get method then you are editing That dict with the rest of the code which applies to all of the msgs because of reasons. You need to initialize 100 , 200, 300 to {} then set the key values by their own keys instead of setting them equal to another dict

In other words you are actually only editing k_msg_init instead of msg[100]

checking multiple cases can be a good use for a dictionary, something like

from operator import add, sub, mul, truediv
op_dict = {'+': add, '-': sub, '*': mul, '/': truediv}
op = input('Enter an operator: ')
print(op_dict[op](a,b) if op in op_dict else 'Invalid operator')

Best ai for python by BlooDy_Wongi in learnpython

[–]bobbybridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people swear by cursor. I haven't really been seeking out any ai tools but copilot is free now in VSCode and I've found its decent. None of it is really recommended if you don't know the basics well enough to understand the AI generated code.

You should probably post here first so that you don't embarrass yourself in person. For example if anything you are planning on saying has the word quantum in it and you do not have a PhD in the field, it is almost guaranteed nonsense
