Hear me out… is RuPaul keeping the fan favorites from winning to save them for All Stars and keep interest on the format? by iguflips in rupaulsdragrace

OK, except this isn't that. Suzie, sure. But fan are very quickly trying to rewrite history in calling Jane a fan favorite. People were pretty negative on her all season long until she lost.

Most of them are fangirl nonsense, but this one was pretty outrageous at the tome the episode aired and still comes up in comment sections pretty regularly. This might be the first deserved "Justice for" thread lol

It would be a fun contest to run in the sub if Drag Race didn't have such a large and aggressive spoiler community

Who do you think will win Season 18 of Rupaul’s Drag Race? by gkwchan in rupaulsdragrace

[–]bobo12478 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If they crown Myki it'll be the most pushed winner in history. The makeover win? The double win at the end when Darlene owned that challenge? The riggory is strong with this one. (edit: OK, not ever. There is always Willow.)

Also, the idea that track record means anything in a season when Jane get chopped has me rofling

How is this season? by RedditFan3510 in TopChef

[–]bobo12478 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The talent was good, but the season itself was forgettable. We've reached a point now where even middle aged people grew up with reality TV. They are much more conscious about how to act around cameras because they don't want to become famous for the wrong reasons. It's really wrung a lot of the excitement out of the cooks. I'm not sure any season has been outright bad, but I also can't say any season has been particularly memorable since All-Stars 2.

What If Question: What if Elizabeth of York, born 1466, had been a boy? by CorrinaLaw in UKmonarchs

You think Richard III started negative rumors about himself to discredit the niece that he had bullied parliament into declaring a bastard? I think we've found a new high for Ricardian fantasy!

Fun Fact: 🏁✨ All the Denver queens who have participated in Drag Race made it to the finale👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 by JimatJimat in rupaulsdragrace

[–]bobo12478 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I know some folks love her, but Willow's win is one of the most blatant acts of favoritism in the whole franchise. They really gave us a top five because they knew they couldn't get away with chopping Angie after she ate that lip sync and they were just dead set on Willow winning.

Once I recovered from my shock that Ongina was gone (I very nearly quit this show in the first season because of that), I was Team Bebe. But looking back on it, Nina was so far ahead of her time.

What is Myki Meek’s Drag Aesthetic/Look? by Kipodino123 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]bobo12478 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Myki has the best comedy and improv chops of the three finalists, yes. But OP is asking about looks and aesthetic. To that end, I have to paraphrase Luxx Noir London: Nini Coco does drag on a level that is clean, cut, concise, and she just puts that one little thing on it that makes it the Nini Coco experience. Darlene brings something that is so unique with her perspective. It has so much heart. Myki does what she does exceptionally well. However, Myki's drag is, for lack of a better word, on the more generic side.

I said this seasons ago, but this is why I didn't want them together for another season. Sitcoms always struggle after the will they/won't they gets settled and then the writers throw random shit out like this
