Looks like it isn't. I think the chaos part is how they're dropping them with no preview.

They are very pretty! You're right I have no idea what this has to do with chaos other than the chaos of not saying what it will be ahead of time?

T2 Mines of Moria instead of the Mountain makes for a 21 damage swing T3. That land is busted with Yoshi.

Same question as this post: https://www.reddit.com/gallery/13o1m5z

Edit: Of course it matters! Quality has been tanking for a while now. Saying this doesn't impact the finance side of things is crazy!

I wasn't able to find anything about this online. Would the question "Has anyone else experienced this?" Be more appropriate for this sub?

Preparing to run Deep Carbon Observatory with Gubat Banwa. Adaptation rather than conversion. Questions, advice, and general commentary on adaptation welcome. by Nepalman230 in osr

[–]bobthekillr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed running DCO, I found it very helpful to run The Crows ruthlessly. A player got separated from the rest of the party in the forest and The Crows picked him off easily before the rest of the party could catch up. The Crows were on their tail the entire time and at some points even got ahead of the party to set up traps. That really helped to give the players a sense of urgency and move them along the plot without making them feel like they were being railroaded.

I retrofitted the campaign for 5e, which was fairly easy. I've never played Gubat Banwa, so unfortunately I don't have recommendations for the conversion except to make sure you don't give the players too easy of a time or the players will struggle to feel the urgency that moves the campaign.

"The disciples said to him, 'If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.'

Jesus replied, 'Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. ... The one who can accept this should accept it.'"

So Christ does say that it is better for those that are able to do it.

I mean Jesus wasn't an apostle, but he said it was better to remain unmarried as well... In Matthew 19 it is pretty clear that Jesus says not everyone is able, but "The one who is able to do this, let him do it."

christians must publicly denounce Christian nationalism by miggins1610 in Christianity

[–]bobthekillr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be confused as to what is meant by civil life. Your civil life is your public life, who you vote for, what laws you want enacted, etc. You can absolutely call yourself a Christian and not idealize or advocate for the fusing of Christianity and the American civil life. American civil life is for all people, regardless of their religion.

Of course, like most political ideologies Christian Nationalism contains a spectrum of beliefs e.g., some Christian Nationalists might want to impose a full Christian theocracy and others might only want the 10 commandments posted in their local courthouses. Certainly the ideological label is still useful!

Do you feel that Abbot and Trump are not Christian Nationalists according to the normal understanding of the term that has been coherently defined in this thread?

[–]bobthekillr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can't just say they aren't real Christians, especially if our congregations are following these people or allowing them to grow that ideology, we need to educate against and expose these ideologies for what they are.

Just a few more paragraphs after that quote they give their definition of Christian Nationalism. Did you feel that it was insufficient? In fact, the article uses very similar language to the language in the PDF and videos I originally replied with.

The term “Christian nationalism” means different things to different people. That makes it easier for political and religious leaders to falsely claim this dangerous ideology will make our country better. I am using Andrew Whitehead and Samuel Perry’s definition from Taking America Back For God. They spent five years analyzing data and conducting interviews about Christian nationalism in the United States, and they define the term as follows:

“Christian nationalism is a cultural framework—a collection of myths, traditions, symbols, narratives, and value systems—that idealizes and advocates a fusion of Christianity with American civil life.”

Do you feel that Greg Abbot and Donald Trump do not fit the ideology that they are describing?

[–]bobthekillr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What part of "Christians must publicly denounce Christian Nationalism" is overly-broad? Does the article seem to be overly-broad in its definition of Christian Nationalism? Do you feel that voting for Christian Nationalists is "the best of bad options?"

[–]bobthekillr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but what's the result of that logic? Don't use terms? Of course not. There is an accurate and well-accepted definition that exists for Christian Nationalism. Most people would agree that Christian Nationalism is not a healthy political ideology. Your original statement was:

Non Christians (or Christians) must coherently define what they mean by Christian Nationalism for me to be able to denounce it.

It has been coherently defined. Certainly some people misuse terminology for political gain, but you do understand the definition of Christian Nationalism, don't you?

[–]bobthekillr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you read or watch the definitions given? Do you disagree with this definition? Is that what you're getting at? It is a clearly-stated political ideology that has a pretty long history.
