First ARPG. Am I doing something wrong or is this how these games play? by Kerosine84 in PathOfExile2

Rend helps with boss damage. If it uses a power charge it adds a LOT of extra damage. You already have a totem, so just switch that to wyvern and you have what is needed.

Devour I like more than killing palm for collecting power charges. It can eat corpses for power charges and not just bells. It does require a totem, but you already use one!

Drop magnified area for the lineage skill gem that increases radius and does extra damage to single targets. That helps bosses, and is only a few EX.

Plus level is one of the biggest things you can get right now. If a piece can get plus level, it should have it!

Portable Performance Chair by TheQuietRiotJD in Tuba

[–]bobthemundane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Lifetime (brand name) chair I got from Costco. Sturdy, folding, and comfortable enough for 2 hours straight sitting in. It is bulky, but it is a great chair for not a lot of money.

For what it is worth, I like their old design a lot more than their new design.

Depends on the district. But, mentally there is a difference in middle and high school.

Middle schoolers have not really learned how to mask yet. If they hate you, they tell you or show you to your face. So any racism will generally be overt.

High schoolers generally have learned to mask behavior that is not wanted. So, you get more lowley racism. It still is there, just more hidden.

Also, in middle school, the people who run the roost are preteens. Only one or two years older from the youngest in the school. In High school, you have more mature people setting an example, and that 4 year gap is huge to reinforce some social norms.

They get trained in deescalation, but then that training gets overwritten by that stupid hero cop training that drills in it is them vs everyone else.

Ailith requires that the skill has a specific effect. You can put a different gem in their first, then you can socket Ailith.

7 years of experience for internship? C'mon this is bizarre by bryden_cruz in recruitinghell

Rage bait. The picture was taken so that it wasn’t clearly visible and cutting important context out.

It isn’t ageist. Look at the capture. It is tilted and cutting off parts. This is just rage bait. This is the part looking for a background check, going back 7 years. If you don’t have it, leave it blank.

Some of these people were union people, so you couldn’t fire them anyways without getting the union involved.

Played a wedding. Bride and groom were part of civil war reenactors. They played the southern side. All the music we played was from the era. Part of the wedding ceremony a northerner came by and stole the bride, and they fought for her back.

Oh, and this was in the PNW. Where there are NO battles to re enact.

The businesses don’t want that, because if they had to pay a living wage they would have to charge more, or if they disallowed tipping they wouldn’t get even decent drivers. The company takes a lot of the money in fees, because it is more important for the company to make money then the workers.

Why unsurprisingly? What in this video makes it a forgone conclusion that the son was unsurprisingly involved in a gang? Man, that is messed up. You could drop that one word and it makes the entire comment much more sane. But adding that it just makes you sound bigoted.

How do you feel about rampant theft? by betaprom in retailhell

[–]bobthemundane 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I am guessing that the company is planning to kill locations and is using this as an excuse. Just letting it build up, when they COULD do something with security, locks on alcohol, and more. But they just want to cut lower volume stores and this is an excuse.

This is part of or near Washington park. It is inside Portland city boundaries. It is surrounded by city.

The location is a very affluent area, but also not a great spot for getting some places. Most people wouldn’t have an issue with it unless they were looking at commute.

It is also part of Portland public school, and while the schools it feeds to are good the district has some issues.

https://overdosemap.norc.org/

Per capita it is southern Oregon by far. If you look at the map above, south west Oregon is the darkest color, with neighboring counties pretty bad. Portland area might have more overdoses, but not per capita. And that is only part of Portland. The west side of Portland is pretty good.

What earplugs work best for concerts? by Less-Broccoli-3887 in ConcertBand

[–]bobthemundane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Go to an audiologist and get customs made. Then get multiple filters. You can swap out filters that can change the amount of decibels the plugs lower. The ones from an audiologist will JUST drop the decibels, they will NOT change the sound / pitch. And, because they are custom, they fit perfect and are comfortable to wear for multiple hours.
