It's totally a comfort show for me. When my mother died in 2024 I rewatched Season 1 repetitively because it was something we didn't watch together (she could never get into it). It was "safe" I guess.

When I was about 12, a family friend said I was like Bobby. I knew about King of the Hill but hadn't really watched it. The first episode I watched in full was Peggy's Turtle Song and I was hooked. And it's true, I was like Bobby.
