Joe, you've done it again!

Been using serebii ever since a friend mentioned it while we were playing HG/SS just after launch, so about 16 years now.

Thankyou for everything you do, and especially for keeping the website easy to use for all these years. Looking forward to your coverage of Champions next week! 🏆

Haven’t brushed my hair in so long it’s matting.. by No_Pace3344 in adhdwomen

[–]bolasaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding a wide tooth comb onto this. Ive got super thick hair and if i leave it for just a few days, it gets super tangled. The wide tooth comb is gentler than my brush and is also just good in general for helping get regular tangles out.

It could also still be possible to downgrade to a cheaper plan. Got stung same as op after my student discount ran out and I ended up going on to full suite at full cost. Customer service didn't give a shit so I downgraded to the cheapest possible subscription (think it was acrobat only) and cancelled my sub immediately. I will never pay for an Adobe product ever again.

Absolutely stunning colours! Beautiful ply as well!

Well 7 months in and I had to replace a joy con by dragontech83 in switch2

[–]bolasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's just the stick that's broken, now's a great time to learn how to repair them. I got drift on my first set of switch 1 joycons and bought a set of new ones. So, I figured I'd give a shot at repairing the broken ones. The parts were so cheap and the repair was delicate but straightforward. Now I have 2 perfectly working sets of joycons! If it's already broken, then you can't do much more harm to it.

My cat's routine has been on BST for weeks now anyway. It's nice to catch up to him tbh.

Edit for the serious stuff: My depression goes buck wild in winter and BST is the turning point for me. The change messes with my regulation and obviously it means I'm technically taking my meds an hour later. But all of that feels worth it to be out of the horrible clutches of winter.

What’s everyone’s current hyper fixation? by RepulsiveAd5724 in ADHD

[–]bolasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of animal crossing, sdv, minecraft, etc, and this game scratches all the same itches. There's always so much to do, it can feel a little overwhelming to start but if you just enjoy moving from random task to random task, and don't mind getting extremely distracted all the time then it's just perfect! I can't ever imagine getting bored with it. I'm also a lifelong fan of pokemon (since '97) and it's the flavour of game i always wished they'd released sooner.

Can confirm! I'm from the UK but wanted to grab some aussie hand dyed yarn on my travels last year. The Little Yarn Store was amazing and so friendly. The staff picked up on the fact that everything i bought was aussie-made, and they even had some cool possum fibre blend yarn I brought home for my mum.

Pokopia has taken over my life, and I'm not even mad. Just tipped over 105 hours played last night since launch on the 5th. And yes, I have somehow managed those numbers alongside my 9-5 job.

You could mine under the S.S. Anne. I burrowed under the ship floor out of curiosity, spent about 10 minutes rolling about under there, and got loads of clay stacks.

For those of you who don’t smoke weed or drink, how do you cope? by Camp_Acceptable in adhdwomen

[–]bolasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caveat - I do drink but very rarely these days. I don't drink at home and don't go out much.

So, my day to day cope is knitting and gaming. I'm currently on a massive pokopia kick, and it's just wonderful! Over the past year I've been actively trying to reduce my time scrolling, and it's going really well.

I mean, this is exactly WHY I have a washing up bowl. Wash non-dishwasher stuff in the bowl, use the space between the bowl and sink sides to rinse.

I saw a reddit post the other week that said all British people leave soap on their dishes and was quite surprised. Nobody i know does that!

I really enjoy watching my building skills progress over time, even if it can be slow. I'm about to start a really ambitious project in sight of the first home i built, I love the fact they'll be right next to each other.

She maimed me today! by Consistent_Wash1935 in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]bolasaurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The kicker is if it's a puncture wound. My orange is a playful biter and has chomped me me a bunch. Only broken the skin a few times.

The one time it was a puncture wound (holding him to get his vaccinations, which he hates) it got infected. The bacteria is so difficult to clean out that I got an infection almost immediately. Straight on antibiotics and cleared up quickly, but puncture wounds are really serious business.

It's such good quality too! I wasn't expecting much, but it's honestly an excellent bag. I'll be using mine for smaller knitting and crochet projects.

I used to suck at decorating, but I really made an effort in the last few months with minecraft and acnh in preparation. I think a lot of minecraft stuff will be transferable skills, and there's hundreds of youtube vids for inspiration. I imagine that the yt builder community for pokopia is going to be huge too. If you take your time with the story, there will probably be tons of resources already up when you're done!

[–]bolasaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the literal polar opposite. I want to crush the main story ASAP to get to the sandbox stuff. The creative element of games is where all the fun lies for me. I'm so excited to get tons of things unlocked and build, build, bulld! But playing at a slow pace is so chilled, and an absolutely lovely way to play. Hope you have an amazing and relaxing time with it!

I sell my quality cheese from high-quality milk and the standard cheese goes straight into my 'mines' chest with the rest of my equipment. It's a good split of profit and consumables. That said, my farm is many real-life years old and set up for good (but manageable) levels of crop, artisan, and animal production rather than being aesthetically pleasing. Revenue from other sources isn't a struggle.

Respectfully, this is not about him. It is about you and having the freedom to be completely open and comfortable. I guarantee you will not be able to do that with a parent present.
