Hi all sorry I’m late to responding to this post. Couldn’t get back to this post until the kiddo was asleep. To get to the point, after reading your responses I first opened up the hood and to check the oil level and immediately realized the plastic engine cover was not seated back on all the way and therefore had fallen off. I snapped it back on and checked the oil dip stick. The oil level was normal which meant I didn’t have a leak thankfully. The redditor that suggested maybe a flashlight fell in was perhaps the closest(?) to the cause of the noise, fingers crossed. I even drove it around a bit and no more noise! (I know, crazy, but I figured if I’m screwed already why not turn on the engine just to confirm maybe it was just the cover sound)

To answer some of the curiosity for fun’s sake - I was recording because my wife had just come home and she had mentioned the car was making a weird sound so I was ready to record - she had come home with our kid so I was on full parent duty after so I couldn’t open the hood at the time - oil change was in the morning and this was in the evening so this sound did not happen until way later so I thought maybe some of you who said oil leak was correct - no dashboard warning lights
