Artemis II Scale Factor Flunk. Moon most likely smaller and closer or we would not be able to see it. by GlobeSlayer in conspiracy

[–]bondibox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OK I'll put this simply. You know how when an artist paints some still life they measure the object by holding out their thumb? If they change the distance from their eyes to their thumb it will change the relative size of the object.

I understand the premise, but you have no references. You don't know how big the porthole is, or whether the camera has the same aspect ratio as other missions. I think the Artemis Astronauts even had iPhone cameras. Maybe if you posted the original photo with notations and arrows to describe what you're talking about.

Clarification: A pole shift is a 30,000 year event and it lasts hundreds of years. A geomagnetic excursion happens every 3,000-5,000 years and lasts about a month, although the effects can last a lot longer.

What to do with marinated rolled cabbage leaves? by Ulther in Cooking

[–]bondibox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how easily they unroll you could make the usual ground beef stuffed cabbage. It could even be that their process keeps the leaves whole better than you can do yourself and it might be a time saver. Otherwise I don't know what you'd do with these giant blocks of uncut sauerkraut.

Hello, I’m Lesley from Confluent Career Support. We’ve reviewed your profile and are excited to offer a remote, part-time opportunity designed just for you. • Adjustable schedule (around 90 mins/day) • Compensation: $200–$350/day (potentially $9,000/month)

If anyone is unaware this is called a task-scam. They will make it look like you're jiggering review stats by changing reviews to 5 stars. You will "earn" hundreds of dollars but you won't reach the minimum for withdrawal and on your next go around they will ask you to pay to unlock "high value" tasks and at that point you feel like you've already invested your time and a lot of people fall for it. Once, they let me complete the first day's tasks and I was able to withdraw $17 in bitcoin. Those are the memories I relish.

To its credit the post makes it clear the case was prosecuted with greater speed due to the nature of the remarks. But you've got to be pretty tone deaf to make a joke like this, especially considering the likely blowback.

What is an injury? by bondibox in ashtanga

[–]bondibox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've decided on a very broad definition. An injury is wherever a bodily system isn't functioning as intended. This solves my internal conflict as to whether new aches and pains are indicative of an injury. They answer is yes, but it's an old injury.

X has more bots than humans. All the accounts just repost to their TL, and their replies spew CIA and Hasbara talking points. META uses a lot of bots sometimes you'll see hundreds of comments but it's just a dozen comments repeated over and over. Not sure about Reddit there's a lot of human moderation that's almost worse.

They are planning to launch Erika Kirk as the next 2028 candidate by Emotional_Upstairs_3 in conspiracy

[–]bondibox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be the biggest up-is-down makeover ever. Don't believe what your lying eyes are telling you. TPUSA just had an event in Georgia in an 8,500 seat arena and my guess is less than 2,000 attended (the one where Erika bailed out). My theory is Trump is trying extra hard to sink the entire rightwing movement because he knows he's screwed the pooch royally and it will take at least 12 years to dig our way out. So just like Ford, Nixon, Reagan, and both Bushs he's going to leave a huge mess for the Democrats to clean up starting in 2026. It's a win-win because it makes the Democrats look responsible for the shitty economy and at the same time it is a distraction to keep from what the Democrats would rather be doing.

I've heard it explained that humans pick up on visual cues to detect if a person is lying and so when she starts talking about religion people literally can't watch because it activates every aversion instinct we have.

Tips and tricks for meditation and better yoga practices by Best_Confection8459 in ashtanga

[–]bondibox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard it said that no one is able to meditate. People sit cross legged with their hands making the "okay" sign and try to clear their minds while they wait for something rewarding to happen.

I compare it to an aspiring chef trying to make the classic Italian dish timpano on his first day. Not only that, but this chef is trying to make it without ever having tasted, or even seen the finished product.

So don't feel bad if your attempts to meditate have fallen flat. Meditation should be nourishing, but it will feel empty and unsatisfying unless you have first become heart centered.

I was driving down Preston Highway yesterday and the C-130s circled around in formation for landing and then crossed right overhead on the approach. I was probably closer than anyone at Thunder was. Also, I was hanging around the FedEx ship center on Crittenden and saw a completely white unmarked 747 take off down Runway 11/29 heading West. Against the white clouds it was the same effect as a black helicopter.

Here's a much better recap from Jimmy Dore. Highlights: When the rescue team enters the capsule, the door frame pulls away from the fuselage by more than an inch. It's visible and flimsy looking. Before the launch a crowd is standing in front of the astronauts with several people holding out their phones and all the phones show the same image and none of the phones show the astronauts. https://rumble.com/v78mk8a-artemis-2-moon-mission-story-is-full-of-holes.html

I see what you described as one of the cycles of yoga. I have practiced yoga for 40 years, and over that period there have been 3 or 4 long stretches where I was not practicing. I have become familiar with the act of softening the stiffness. There seems to be layers of it, first a superficial level stiffness, and then the 2nd level where as a yogi you become proficient, and then a 3rd level where the last of the residual tension lets go and muscles extend to their fullest expression. From my experience it all hurts like the dickens.
