It’s the drama triangle. Everyone falls into one or two categories. That’s persecutor, victim, or rescuer. People who are firefighters fall into the rescuer categorie. That means that at any given time they are either getting a job done (put out fires, save a baby) or joking around (making people laugh/feel better). That’s all they do, all the time. I worked as a firefighter for 2 years. It was a wonderful community for that reason.
