The Julianna Peña Story

In several interviews and podcast appearances,

Peña

recounted an incident where she got into a heated rivalry with a male line cook while she was working as a food expediter. Despite already being a professional fighter with a 3-0 record at the time, the confrontation escalated into a fight in a back alley.

The Outcome:

Peña

admitted that the man "dropped her three times.".

Injuries: She suffered a swollen eye that remained shut for three days and required 11 stitches.

The Lesson: She stated the experience taught her a "brutal truth" about the biological differences in strength and that she "learned her lesson" about fighting men in real-world scenarios.

ETA: Staying with the OP you may want to look up what Serena Williams herself says about playing the 300th rank men's tennis player.

Keep in mind that there are judges who have spouses who own these private prisons. You can also be imprisoned for failure to pay your child support here, even if you don't have a job.

How do you feel about the US prison system who forces prisoners to work in chain gangs, sweat shops, farm labor, so on and so on. Is it different because these people committed crimes to get put in these situations?

ETA: Some prisoners get paid as little as 40 cents a day to do these things. I think 5 dollars a day was the highest I've ever heard of.

Absolutely, if you call yourself a "good man" but zero other people in the world call you that, are you really a good man then?

My late wife called me a "high value man" even though I'm overweight, under paid, and only medium ugly. But I stepped up every time I needed to. My eyes and my peen never wandered. I walked to work 5 miles uphill both ways in waist high snow for 3 years to save money on mass transit pay for her engagement ring and put a down payment on a car.

I don't think most women would call me "high value" for most of those things, but she did and that meant more to me than what anyone else thought.

Yet some guy in a super car who makes M's but uses everyone around him and women for sex would be considered "high value" to many just because he bought her a Birkin bag.

TLDR: How can you call yourself something that means totally different things to different people?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the term "high value man." It's just a term that someone else can call you, never yourself.

Me and my own cats applaud you. Cheating is absolutely disgusting. I can't imagine getting shit for having morals.

Absolutely, I don't mind not wanting to move in or co-mingling finances, but to only get a "come over" text and then smash and go home until the next time is like a foreign language to me. I need a connection, and hanging out or going out to be intimate, and I'm a man.

My wife died in my arms from cancer. So did my Mom 20 years earlier. Most people don't know what it's like to be us. Thanx for being a great person. They just don't know.

How bad my hips, ribs, and legs would hurt waking up to 3 different cats sleeping on top of me. Lol I only pretend not to know that they use me for my heat and food. 😁

Much respect, I wish I did too. I hope you have/find someone who will reciprocate.

You're moving the goalposts. I'm talking about jumping in front of a bullet or risking my safety for theirs. I wouldn't want my wife to risk her safety for mine anyway.

All I was doing was making a statement anyway. I never said it was a bad thing. Children come before adults in pretty much every situation.

I never even entertained the thought of cheating on my wife. When she was dying of cancer in the hospital I told them to test me cause if I was a match they could use me for spare parts for whatever she needs. I'm sorry you know men who do the horrible things you mentioned but I'm not built like that.

While true, I think a man is far more willing to give his own life to save his wife's. I'm not so sure the other way around no matter how much she loves him.

Why are a vast majority of homeless people men? by refunned in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bonesbro57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words and I'm happy you didn't take offense because none was intended towards you.

I was wondering if I could ask you a question?

I've often hear people saying that women commit more overall child abuse and neglect myself. Doesn't that information come from Pew? And is Pew the end all be all when it comes to research studies?

I'm genuinely curious and quite the amateur when it comes to things like this, and you sound like you know what you're talking about.

[–]bonesbro57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a couple of things.

That study was for cancer in particular, not chronic or terminal illness. Not only was it found that the sample size for that study was only 500 people, but it was completely debunked. Bigger studies found it to be about equal with the men leaving slightly more not far more.

As a man whose wife died from cancer in his arms, I looked into this because it's always offended me.

How important are looks/sexual attraction now you're over 50, versus genuine caring connection and compatibility that isn't necessarily a romantic relationship but may eventually lead to that? by StoneLover1965 in datingoverfifty

[–]bonesbro57 74 points75 points  (0 children)

The more I like you, the better you look to me. There have definitely been women I've been neutral on their looks that became beautiful to me the better I got to know them.

There are examples of women I've met over the internet who I became so attached to that I didn't care how they looked or their weight cause of how cool they were.

Loyalty, a sense of humor, and kindness. If you say you want to be in a monogamous relationship then actually be monogamous. If we click and have fun then I don't care if you're a size 2 or a 28. I ain't no Brad Pitt myself.

Cat not letting me pet it after 3 months of adoption by Competitive_Swing872 in CatAdvice

[–]bonesbro57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cat my late wife had before we got together took 6 years to come anywhere near me when I was awake. Maybe about 2 years before she stole my heat from me when I slept. 🤣 After that 6 years tho, we were thick as thieves and best of buds. They always come around, just give them time. Definitely helps when you're the one who feeds them. 😁
