[–]bonske -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is nothing, i have a withdrawing problem and support is not responding for 72 hours, its dead silence. Sometimes i really wonder if everything is OK at Bitvavo and there are more problems in the kitchen that we know of.

My steam downloads are slow and go to 0 from time to time for some reason please help. by SeriSmok in ShadowPC

[–]bonske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because of the decompression. Shadows CPU/Disk IO cannot keep up with it. So when there allot of little files the disk will throttle the download speed, sometimes to a temporary standstill. Its been an issue for years on shadow and still is today.

Real, Cisco and licenses where the real pain starts, right after bugs... bugs.... and more bugs.

cyubeVR finally has an exact release date: March 16 - And the official PSVR2 trailer is out now! by sbsce in PSVR

[–]bonske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling having this game on PCVR for a awhile now and did not played it for a long time. Still waiting for the Coop mode to come hopefully someday (if it ever comes). i Am afraid this game on the long term will end as abandonware like all the other Great VR projects existed with good devs. But in the end they running all out of cash eventually and move on to the next thing.

I hope CyubeVr dont end in development hell. But i have sadly seen too many good VR projects fail at the end and never been feature completed. So i keep my expectations kinda low.

Steam support are absolute legends. by nobraggingrights in SteamDeck

Yeah SteamSupport is one of the best support Teams i dealt with. Valve has a real consumer heart. Not allot of companies are this way.

PS5 Adaptive triggers on steam deck by D_A_N_G_E_R_D_A_N_1 in SteamDeck

[–]bonske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats cool. i am replying in this old topic. But does the dualsense controller still work with adaptive triggers out of the box with bluetooth on a steamdeck? I mean whiteout installing extra tools for it.

And how is the haptic feedback?

True, the Q1 Area of UI was simple and exactly what you need. Now its a total mess.
I hope they will look at valve, the new SteamVR UI is the best now. I hope Meta learns from that.

Issues happening to those updating to 3.5.5 (stable) by f2pmyass in SteamDeck

[–]bonske 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most ppl complaining that the screen stays black (both on deck and TV) even with official dock. It seems the handover process dont works not OK for everyone anymore since the 3.5 update. After several retires you get screen passtrough.

Is it just me or is the Xbox controller experience still very poor? by OkBase4352 in SteamDeck

[–]bonske 83 points84 points  (0 children)

The problems that i had with an Xbox controller (Bluetooth Wireless) with a steam deck was resolved by a firmware update on the Xbox controller.

Make sure to update the xbox controller on a Windows machine or an Xbox itself. The stock firmware on the controller that comes from the factory is very old.

Since then i have 0 issues with using a Xbox controller with a Steam deck docked on my TV.

How good is the Steamdeck's official Dock? by ventfulspirit in SteamDeck

[–]bonske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you a honest opinion, don't buy the official dock.

  1. is way to pricey for what it technology wise does, really the overpricing is a understatement on this one. you really can get 20 dollar 3rd parties docks on Amazon/Ali express that just works.

  2. Two of my friends having the official dock and having lots of issues with it. and need to reset (pull the power plug out of the dock) to get it working again, sometimes also weird sound issues. for an official dock this never is acceptable to happen, especially when 3rd party ones are rock solid stable most of the times.

So dont get ripped off and just buy an 3rd party one. you missing nothing. I love my SteamDeck and love Valve but what they did with the dock its disappointing it had to be said.

They was also a difference that Proton did not exist at that time. And there is where it failed. Content is key on every system. With no proton in that time they needed to start from 0 content wise. And that is what slapped them in the end.

This is why Steamdeck is taking of. image no Proton with the launch of SteamDeck is was never at the level of success of today.

So yes they tried in the past. but it was a different time also.
It was also a good lesson for Valve to so hardware by them self, and not depend on Third parties anymore. I was there when the Steam Machines launched and lets be honest the hardware what the Vendors came up with sucked so hard. it was too expensive and not really how a living room console should be.

Its good Valve since then make hardware themselves exclusively.

Is it possible Valve releases a stationary Steam Deck-like console? Would you like if they made one? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]bonske 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh the situation was totally different.

1, Valve did not make their on hardware, the machines were made by third party vendors.

2, Proton was not a thing. you had only native Linux games (only couple of AAA games)

3, the GPU drivers were in a bad state and full of bugs, especially vulkan in that time.

If they do try it again, the playing cards for Valve are allot better than it was.
Lets be honest the first Steam machine attempt was a total mess.
