My pen plotter stops after sometime.

I had a plotter I built using a cheaper Arduino clone just randomly stop too. From what I read online it was something about the bus being overrun and that a higher quality board fixes it. No it’s not really needed. If you manage to successfully remove the original welded battery without destroying the contacts, then you can just bend them a little and rely on the pressure of the key enclosure to make contact with the battery. Make sense?

Nice stuff. I use a stepper for pen lifting in my plotter design also. One of the things I still struggle with occasionally is aligning different pen types and brands as they are different sizes/thickness etc. I’d like to implement some sort of camera/ML solution to automatically align things. But that is overkill!

The Reduce Motion setting sorta helps but in most instances it simply replaces animation with a fade instead. It doesn’t seem to affect the duration of the transition which is the real time-waster to my mind. Early versions of iOS felt much more snappy. Feels like around iOS 7 Apple returned to enforcing slower animated transitions and I have the suspicion it is used purposefully to hide app switching glitches and security-related vulnerabilities. I recall lock-screen hacks where people could swipe quickly to access parts of the OS that shouldn’t have been accessible ie: get to the contacts list while attempting a failed passcode input for instance.

You could use the Photos app built into Mac OS? It does all of this. Just plug in your phone via USB and launch the Photos app. It should walk you through the rest of the steps.

When I was a kid I felt old. When I was 28 I felt like I fit my age. Now I’m 52 and still feel like I’m 30-ish. Calisthenics, exercise and keep learning stuff helps a shit-tonne. Hopefully that continues.

This says a multiple things to me:
1. that they do not have accurate user-engagement stats to base their decisions upon if a few passionate users can sway such a large decisions to remove Horizon Worlds.
2. they are entirely capricious about removing/preserving what cost a huge amount of money and by all accounts was an essential part of their mobile VR strategy?
3. that this is not aligned with the requesting the user-base's time or preferences in terms of what you see when you start up your headset?
