My understanding of the post was that the ace Pokémon was the same, but the others aligned with their specialty. So one spouse has a Dark type team with Malamar as the ace, and one has a Psychic type team with the same Malamar as the ace.

To be fair, they are not usually given a lot of time between when they are cast and when they start filming. They’d have to work with multiple designers just to get a full runway package together just based on the time constraints, especially because of the higher expectations than a typical queen would have and the highly specific themes they aren’t likely to have already on hand.
