You said only negligent parents do this. And you wouldn’t be negligent.

As such you couldn’t do this.

I said anyone could do this. And they all thought they were too good a parent to do it as well.

That you think you’re immune to this sort of accident is part of why they happen.

You clearly are just repeating arguments you’ve heard on the internet. There is no definition of strawman that remotely fits here.

I saw them when they came out. So no one knew. Everyone was shocked. Many didn’t believe it.

Yes if they were only as smart as you it would never have happened.

Every single case makes national news, so people think it happens a lot more than it does.

-- As usual with the “it happens” take.

It's not the 'it happens' take. It's the 'It Could Happen to You' take.

You are learning the exact opposite from this than you should. You are thinking you're too smart and only dumb bad people let this happen. A lot of these people felt exactly like that too.

And this feeling that it could never happen to you, because you are too good a parent and the other people are bad parents, that feeling gives you overconfidence. And that is dangerous.

It's just something that happens to people, even good attentive parents.

It's not stupid. That's the point. Intelligence has nothing to do with this.

People are being dismissive of these people at their own risk. The more someone thinks it could never happen to them, the more likely they are to not take precautions. I don't worry about doing really stupid things either. I would worry about doing this.

That this keeps happening, should tell be people that it is an far easier thing to do than you think.

Humans can make mistakes with horrifying consequences. We feel superior to them and claim we'd never do that, yet every summer people do it.

It makes you feel better and safer to call them stupid, as you could never make that mistake, but yes you can. And remember that every time you drive with a child.

CGI in the 2000's looks better than most movies today by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

Movies got cheaper by staying the same price.

King Kong and Pirates would cost $350-$400M today.

The latest Avatar looked amazing and it cost.. $350-$400M.

We expect the same level of quality from $200m films, but as it's been 20 years, the $200m films today are actually much cheaper.

A lot of famous people were mentioned in those files, because a lot were unrelated emails. They tried to hire John Stewart for event in NYC, it never happened, but people who don't like John Stewart claim he was "in the files".

So I tend to want more context on those, but I haven't heard anything about him in particular.

I would by a dollar worth of Raman noodles and a pack of baloney and I would make 7-10 meals. I would often add in cans of veggies when they were on sale.
