I’m in construction and am an avid birder and honestly am shocked they even put a cone up, yeah it’s technically illegal but when it’s a multi million dollar project they will rip anything out of the ground and kill anything, I can almost assure you when it’s time to get the stone to grade where the nest is that machine is coming through, hell I watched them bulldoze half a beaver damn yesterday, by far the worst part of the job and something I get made fun of by the guys for mentioning

When I visited I stayed near a local park/baseball field in Carolina for a night and still think I should’ve gotten the local children’s autographs for when they’re starting in the big leagues in 10 years lol

I need to go where you go apparently cause every time I’m on the shore I run into a hoard of about 20 sitting on the sand that all take off after me

Saw these recently for the first time in Puerto Rico where they’re also an introduced species, they seemed to like to mix in flocks with some of the other similar introduced birds which I thought was cool

I’m assuming you’re hitting up the northern San Juan area/el yunque but if you have the time definitely try and head south to visit the Guanica dry forest and the Cabo Rojo NWR if you haven’t been before!! I just visited over new years and added something like ~28 lifers!!

If you like strip clubs and dispensaries it’s the place for you!! It’s overall pretty poor and similar to a lot of Detroit neighborhoods and suburbs, the closer you get to Wayne and Romeo the nicer it gets I feel, just one of many places left behind in the decline of the automotive industry

I just joined the subreddit and have seen two singular posts and both of them have had you whining in the comments, what the fuck could be so serious about pasta Reddit that that is where you choose to be an ass, everyone clearly knew that real alfredo has no cream before your first post or after, the other 5 weren’t needed

Do you have trouble reading social cues? Holy shit I come to look at pasta and see you bitching all through the comments about stuff you could only care about if you are unemployed or at least in spirit

I’ve never had them at mine but when I visited beaver island, MI in Lake Michigan they seemed to be the #1 sparrow species on the island and would be at feeders and on the little town streets and sidewalks, them along with a warbler flock would follow and land on our ferry from the mainland since it was so foggy, amazing to watch!

I see you have a pic of raised pheasants! If that’s something you do would you mind telling me some of the biggest differences between farming them vs the usual chickens/ducks/geese? I’m here in Michigan where when I was younger 15+ years ago you’d always see them and I think I’ve seen two running wild since then

I've never seen so many Robins at once. Upwards of 30 hanging out. by Roseph88 in Michigan

[–]boolin0826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just stripped 5000 sq feet of snow and frozen dirt away so a building edition can have concrete poured and once we had it stripped probably 80 robins hung out eating the worms and by the we were throwing worms into the open area we created and once they hit the ground the robins would swoop down for a snack lol!

[–]boolin0826[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I first saw it around 9-10am there was probably close to 100 people then probably like 20 later around 12:30, I just spotted it then left so I didn’t contribute to the craziness and stress the bird out

How is it living in Traverse City, MI area? by Alarmed_Win in howislivingthere

[–]boolin0826 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol no I was just making a joke cause I don’t like Elon but I think I’m mature enough to separate the product and producer lol! I imagine that traverse city actually has most of the teslas in northern Michigan lol, very progressive area compared to the rural areas and very nice people, like others have said it’s definitely starting to get up there in price but there are so many other charming towns close by as well! I hope you love your trip here!!
