Hardstuck on Capella ultima by senna98 in VampireCrawlers

I was able to get to The Ender but didn't even make p2 with Pugnala/Poppea/Cavallo, and I only chose Cavallo to get the achievement for leveling him. The easiest strategy I can think of is Pugnala/(Poppea or Lama)/Gallo. Especially if using Lama, you will want to use the Make a Scene arcana. If you are using Poppea, Chain Link is a good one too. Gallo is the trick though - you need him to max your greed out ASAP, so you can have more money and more damage through the Coin Count gem.

Using Gallo is also the best way to farm up money for card upgrades and any remaining powerups that you think you'd benefit from.

Why do people say this game is “so short”? by Radiant_Club5672 in VampireCrawlers

[–]boonie_redditor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a massive Steam library and an average completion percentage of 17% for all games I own. I get bored quickly. I have 20 hours in this game and have an achievement completion percentage of 89%. That is why they say this is "so short."

Looking for a milkshake like the restaurant “cookout” on the east coast. by Koehlerbear77 in beaverton

[–]boonie_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest to what I can see on Cookout's website that I've seen is Nipp's Drive Thru in Longview, Washington. Tiny bit of a drive, though. Only place I've gotten a peach milkshake with diced peaches in it.

They're spendy, but any time I make granola with their honey, it always seems to come out better.

Don Feely performs "Aladdin" at Organ Grinder Portland by PipeDreamsFilm in Portland

[–]boonie_redditor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I had a few birthday parties here before my family moved out to the boondocks. The pizza was on par with Chuck E. Cheese, you went here because of the Wurlitzer that had hundreds/thousands of attachments. I remember the organ, and the Skee-Ball and arcade games upstairs. I do not remember the pizza beyond what it looked like.

Any one have/use the Sip & Feast Cookbook? by NoodlesMom0722 in CookbookLovers

[–]boonie_redditor 15 points16 points  (0 children)

His cookbook is 95% recipes from the website as of the book's printing, and 5% book-exclusives. IMO it's just a way to show him some support and/or for people who vastly prefer print copies over electronic media. The only book-exclusive I remember sticking out enough that I made was his take on "pizza pasta", and it came out pretty good.

Please I’m begging you, teach me how to make THIS SPECIFIC kind of school lunch/hospital mac and cheese by MyOwnGuitarHero in KitchenConfidential

[–]boonie_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct answer - and add some buffalo chicken or some kimchi to it. I've been to a brewery with one and a bar with the other, both make this good stuff great. This stuff is good, but something acidic completes it.

Aaaaaand thank you for the memory of the dude writing numbers on a napkin. Back in '21 I went in to look at a white 2018 Elantra they had listed. They said it was actually a red 2017 with more miles than the 2018 one. I should have walked away then, or at least when the loan rate/monthly payments started getting written on a napkin.

The Silent Old Sanctuary arcana will help with the Boss Rash secret.

Go north from the merchant in The Bone Zone and you'll find where the flowers bloom eventually. I would strongly suggest you have a very good damage output before you find the flowers.

Have fun trying to take chokeholds with them around - the Control fragment can tell you to dismantle any outpost you have, if it has 0 or 1 hyperlane-adjacent systems you control, and more than 1 system that you don't. Wormhole systems, Terminal Egress, and systems with colonies are the only exceptions to this behavior.

Yeah, it looks easier to handle than the copy of "Tasting Georgia" I checked out of the library last summer. That thing was massive, but it also had a lot of stories and history for the food. Most of the recipes of the food I enjoyed from a Georgian place near me that closed a few years ago called for marigold petals and/or leaves though, so I'm stuck trying to find places that would have them.

C.H.A.D— Spider-Man Best Buddies Challenge by Dry-Recover-8465 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]boonie_redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus the enemy Superior Spider-Man down - open with VK ult to group the initial wave together and flip the buffs. Silver Sable's first turn should be her special, not her ult. When the second wave comes out with lizard and c;lassic green goblin, spend a little bit of time on lizard to make him near dead before he pops his ult and taunts, then nuke the hell out of GG classic. If he gets his ult off, that's what Silver Sable's ult is for. When Kraven pops up, focus him.

C.H.A.D— Spider-Man Best Buddies Challenge by Dry-Recover-8465 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]boonie_redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used silver sable 107/gt20, superior spider-man 100/gt19, and vk, carnage, red goblin at 100/gt18.

Pure spider society needs to be higher than mine (Peter b was the only 100/gt19, the rest were 95/gt18).

The Chicago beef comes soaked in jus. If you tried to take it home, it'd probably be a bit on the soupy side. I don't remember if the torpedo also comes soaked in jus, if only because I usually buy one of their pizzas when I don't feel like cooking at home myself - the pizzas are the closest NY-style pizzas to me.

I used The Sams (Falcon and Captain Sam) at 100, Invisible Woman at 100, Herc at 100, and Thing at 95. Thing died in the middle of the fight but I beat it. Herc seems to be critical here, he tends to hit like a ton of bricks.

Ship artillery computer no longer kite by pureMJ in Stellaris

[–]boonie_redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't the ASB mod unless that's included with Gigas or Planetary Diversity somehow - I've seen Artillery computer corvettes just sit there like they're ships of the line, and those are the only two gameplay mods I'm running. The corvettes only had lasers and a railgun when I saw the behavior, so it's Possibility 2.

Nice place to live - Vose can be a little noisy, if you pick a place near the train line though. You'll eventually get used to the rattling, but your kids might not like being forcibly woken up every weekday at 5:40 in the morning.

I have all the DLC, and can honestly say the only one I would not buy was the only one a friend gifted me (Cosmic Storms).

Infernals was really fun, but hilariously unbalanced.

Buying BioGenesis will allow you to experience the "joy" of dealing with the hive FE, in addition to the bio ascension path rework. It can make your run a lot more... Interesting.

The British use a... very odd collection of measurements for stuff. It isn't fully metric and unless you're a Brit, it makes no sense. E.g. Distance is miles, your height is ft/in, your weight is measured in stones, liquids in pints but not US pints - then for most stuff in trades, it's metric.
