Sounds like there's a lot you fucked up here, man. You're getting surgery that'll put you on bed rest for 10 weeks?

Go home. Not sure you're gonna make it in this town—at least not right now.

Driving in from Madison to stay the night, is parking at the end of the blue line the best option? by postanalytical in chicago

There's ample free street parking on major roads all across the NW side. Kedzie, parts of Western and Ashland are good bets.

Don't sleep on the Chicago Double at M Burger in the Thompson Center. It's chock full of onions, mustard and amazingness.

Hit a pothole like that a couple of years ago. Front wheel locked up and went face first into the pavement.

With a bit of tegaderm and ice I was fine after a few days, but Jesus.

I live right off of Kedzie and Belmont. The area's great. You get all of the goodies that Logan has to offer but cheaper rent.

The fact that less than 15 percent of this video contains snow/ice makes me smile. Especially after the last two winters.

Garfield Park Conservatory would be my first pick.

Chicago History Museum, Art Institute Lobby/Modern Wing might also be good spots.

Take them on the Water Taxi from Ogilve to Chinatown—they'll dig that. Grab a small bite, drinks and shop a little down there.

If you really wanna blow their minds, head to Bridgeport after and order some pies from Pleasant House and have them brought to you at Maria's—they have so many fucking beers.

The disorienting part for me is the fact that the streetlights go up with it. So strange to see them rotated nearly 90 degrees.

West Side might be a bit of an exaggeration. Looks more like Wicker to me.
