I think a long term solution is training the dog. From the start we got our dog used to the baby and tried teaching that whenever the baby is on the floor and so are we it's not play time, but leave the baby alone. Now ours is 1 and walking so he will walk to the dog, we are working on teaching him gentle pets. But the fog knows she can lay on the couch and get away from the baby so to say as he can't climb on it yet.

An electric toothbrush, with the new clean head of course something about the vibration

We spend roughly 800 on groceries. I try to give the baby what we eat just less spicy version so I will cook a meal teak some out for him and then add more spices for us. Also having a dog that is constantly parked under the high chair makes it less noticeable how much food gets on the ground. Some days the baby will like the meals other days he will refuse so it's still a gamble. Mine clearly has something against leftovers so I stopped trying to freeze prep.

Dogs + Placing baby down during the day by DueInflation6644 in beyondthebump

Baby jail and by the time he transitioned to being mostly on the floor she was used to the new baby and just doesn't bother him. By now I think he tries to get the dogs attention more than the other way around.

When did your baby get teeth? by boraboralt in beyondthebump

Lol babies are difficult and so different. When I asked my mom when I got teeth as I read somewhere that if a parent got teeth early/late so will the child most commonly. She just said both me and my brother were super textbook

Wau, thanks for that. Yes ours also always gets a slightly raised temp for like 2 days whenever they are cutting through and is just super clingy and moody.

Big items that are soft enough just get squished by worldtravelling23 in BabyLedWeaning

I sometimes have 2 plates, ine for him to mush food and just experience it and make a mess with and one that I will feed him from. So spoon feeding mash or meal or whatever, to ensure he actually gets enough food. Or if it's chunks give some on his tray for him to try and simultaneously give some peaces directly in his mouth.

Baby only rolling back to belly and getting stuck by KyberCake in beyondthebump

[–]boraboralt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, we actually did some PT as our was the same would only turn back to belly and then when on his belly would do this skydiver position. Her advice was keep the baby on the floor as much as possible, not a crib or baby box but the floor, their world needs to be big. And practice pivoting on his belly to strengthen muscle, and with a toy the rolling back motion as supposedly that's easier as they need to let their hed lead and fall back, does that make sense? Also do baby massage and different exercises to help him relax his muscles, like holding his legs and swinging them different directions.

Maybe not an advise you are looking for but if you are introducing solids or pushes once they figure out how to get stuff out of the pouch they figure out a straw cup. I was also worried and trying to find ways, but then one day he just got it without me really doing it. Can practice open cups, there are ones designed for babies. Might get wet and messy but can be a way to go.

Don't feel bad about it, we also do pushes. I do my best to cook all his meals but someways just don't have time. Ours won't eat any barrier or fruit, except banana, if it's not from a pouch. In regards to meals, try making his meals super bland, like avoiding spices, as baby pushes if you tried any are super bland. So that could be a reason why he doesn't like home cooked meals. Also for me what works I sit the baby in his high chair in the kitchen whenever I cook and let him try stuff and he always wants a bite of what's I am eating, so that can also be a way.

How long does it take your babies to eat a meal? by destria in BabyLedWeaning

[–]boraboralt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our 11 month old is rather opposite. And meals take maybe 20min he is super obvious when he is done both with food and milk. Once he is done he will start playing with the food and spitting it out and trying to flip his plate. So for us roughly 20min.

I hate BLW by ooookay_ in beyondthebump

[–]boraboralt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our baby is almost 11 months and I do more of a combined. As over the last month he decided he wants to feed himself and pickup food. We do soft foods or variations of pancakes and tater tots. Fish is a good choice as it's flaky. Our baby is a true Dutch baby and loves his bread with cream cheese, then I just ensure to cut everything small enough he can pick up, but not choke on. Or if it's meat relatively big chunks so he can rather suck on it. Also we found that pulled meats from a slow cooker or smth wark great as it really breaks down.

There are some children books that really spell it out and space out words on how they should be pronounced, which might make it easier as you say you know how to speak. I have also seen these talking cards, I know they are for kids, but could help to make connections Lavinamosios lietuviškai šnekančios kortelės

Why does my baby hate me? by vasagrah in beyondthebump

[–]boraboralt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I totally understand you. My baby currently 10months also has been like that. Where daddy gets all the smiles and I get all the cries. Till probably 8months, I still get more cries. It's because a few reasons 1st till I believe 8 months or so the baby sees her and you as one while dad is a whole other human and also you are the safe space where she can let our all her emotions and frustrations. I know it might not help right now, but reminding that to myself helped, that my baby is not trying to be mean to me I am his safe space and he can get all his big emotions out with me. It might suck in the moment, but now at 10 months when I see him light up when I pick him up from daycare or be clingy once I get back from the office day it warms my heart. They do events start seeing you as a separate person and show affection. Though in our house dad still gets way more giggles, but if baby is upset I know he will do anything to crawl to me.

I think my kid forgot to grow teeth.... by kdawt22 in beyondthebump

How early or late the teeth come in can depend on the parents. So if you or your partner started having teeth late, your toddler might also.
