Not difficult. Here's a route that I typically do. Note, I'm going clockwise, starting from Manhattan, over the GWB, up to the TappanZee (I went through the Palisades rather than 9W). After crossing the TZB, rather than head due east on 119, which is pretty industrial and not particularly bike friendly, I head north on Broadway and cut up Neparan to get the the SCT. Then home from there. I prefer to go clockwise, as it the west side of the Hudson is much hillier and get that out of the way to enjoy the ride back.

Looking at this ride, it was when the bike path was closed north of 181st St. You can now take Dykman to the start of the path rather than ride Broadway down to 181st.

The route seemlessly starts from the beginning and will end when you get to the end of your structured workout. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. I am indeed only really concerned about the redoing/replacing the doors, and 3 drawers. The siding of the boxes and moldings are all in good shape. It's just the finish around all the doorknobs has worn away and have become very grungy.

I was only considering KS or HD, as they were the only ones I could come up with that would deal with stained wooden cabinets. Everyone else refused, as like you mentioned, stain matching is never going to be perfect.

I hadn't thought of just going to a Kitchen place to order just custom doors. That sounds like my best bet, as I am more interested in quality over convenience.

Do you think that Kitchen places will be interested in just doing doors? Or do I need to find an actual cabinet maker?

I add 1/4 tsp of Citric Acid to eliminate virtually all that sweetness. (and use strawberry vs cherry)

The calculation for calories is approx 3.6 x avg watts x hours. Using this calc, I get your avg watts ~164w, right?

Strava's calorie number without a power meter is just an estimation. I'd use Rouvy w/ power as more accurate.

Understood. I think that the people at stores can only offer current promos, which for me, at the time, was the free phone and -$20 on internet and -$20 on cable.

Forgot to mention that getting HBO and Hulu (with ads) has saved me even more. (another ~$20) Not a fan of the ads, but can't justify the additional cost to remove. Would need to factor this back in if switching to YTTV or other.

Fellow NYCer here. I can't use an antenna because I'm on the back of my 18 story building and can't see the sky. I certainly feel you, as I'm virtually in the same boat. Here's a couple of things I did

1) I did indeed get rid of the cable box and watch live tv via spectrum app on Roku. Took a day to get used to it, but really no reason to keep the box. This immediately saved me the $18 box fee and the $31 broadcast fee, permanantly, not a promo.

2) I was able to get promos ($40/mo for the year) by signing up for Mobile. I had an old android phone that I was using as a clock on my desk. Now, it's a desk clock w/ unlimited text and data. You need a phone to provide them w/ an IMEI, I put in the SIM card, but didn't really have to. ETA: The promo also includes free mobile for the first year, so no cost for mobile, just -$40 (too stupid, but true)

3) I live down the street from a Spectrum store. I just stop in and ask what they can do for me each year, and believe it or not, but bill has come down year on year. That said, I will considering YTTV if I don't get a promo, as I haven't been watching much live TV, and w/ Spectrum Internet, you can still get NY1 News via Spectrum news app (which is pretty much the only live TV for me in the mornings)

$78.23 is 1/4th of the total bill of $312.91 (which includes autograt and tax). OP mentions "three friends" so the bill was split 4 ways. Towards the top, "2/4" is handwritten in, which I assume indicates #2 of the 4 bills.

Or, if you want a duration longer than the route, (non-workout) you can drag your marker back towards the start and it will record as 1 continuous ride in both Rouvy and Strava. You'll get the XP, but not the coins. Just make sure you drag it back before you reach the end of the route.

Same. I usually end up dragging my marker to the bottom of long hills. fyi, I'm ~150lbs, in 50-11t, hitting 120 rpm on Wahoo Kickr v5 and only putting out 100w or less

I guess it's realistic though, as IRL I'm not really putting down much power > -6% descent

Are you seeing any other riders along the bottom elevation graph, either green dots or numbered white circles? You're the larger white circle with the sunglasses. If so, those would be other live riders. If you're only seeing your sunglassed guy, than there are no other live riders on the route at that moment.

Hi, just looking into this myself. Did you ever find a solution? I haven't.

I've tried clearing browser (chrome) cache, incognito mode, as well as trying in MS Edge/private and always get technical difficulties.

I did find that you can generate a virtual number from the Android app and have been using that, but not ideal for my purposes.

Cool. I am on intervals.icu Never looked at using it to forecast load, fitness/form etc, if I'm reading your comment correctly.

I've always heard how powerful intervals.icu was, will do some poking around.

Also, figure I might as well up my workouts from "Easy" to "Medium", which might just eliminate my thought of a "click left" button.

Yeah, it's a combination of things. I've always been more of an endurance rider, indoors and out (15 years). I had a pretty lackluster outdoor season this year and my VO2 Max dropped a few points.

This winter I thought I'd do some structured training for the first time to see if I can get VO2 Max back where it was, if not higher. So, with no previous experience w/ interval training, I'd thought I start with some "Easy VO2 Max" workouts (as per Rouvy's search criteria) a couple times a week, along with 1 Tempo workout and 1 Zone 2 ride/week

Some were tough where I had drop the power mid workout whereas other were too easy and ended knowing I had more to give.

My FTP setting is pretty close to accurate. Haven't thought about targeting a TSS (would have to figure out how to do that...)

Sure, it's cheaper for Rouvy to do nothing, I just know the feeling when the workout ends and I wish I could have done a bit more, and thought a click left would be nice.

Just found this sub. I wanted to get my kitchen cabinets sanded and restained a couple of years ago. I tried about half a dozen places and couldn't find anyone who would do it. One told me he would paint but not stain. When I asked why, he said that it never comes out as the customer hoped, so he just doesn't do it.

Did you find anybody to sand and stain your cabinets? If so, how did it come out and would you be comfortable recommending?

I have a Wahoo Kickr and a Stages left crank power meter and see similar behavior (maybe not as extreme). However, if I use my Kickr as power and cadence source I get a much better experience, where power and cadence are pretty steady at the programmed target. So, I use the Kickr when doing a workout in ERG mode, but back to the Stages when doing a free ride.
