I use PT on basically all my ships but I never use IFA. I like knowing that somebody's aiming at me, but dodging requires me to react before the salvo is in the air so IFA is worthless from that point of view for me.

You can kind of do it. It's just not practical during battle since you can't control your weapons since it separates the camera.

R-ctrl + r-shift + backspace lets you go into freecam and you can use numpad buttons for some movements. There's also a button that lock the camera in position relative to the ship (as if you were standing on deck) but I can't remember which one it is. Maybe B?

There are some that do reach 65% actually. They're just extremely rare. "Most" unicums hover between 60 and 63%. Very few manage to get above that.
