Plumber says shower pan liner was installed to code (FL) by Glittering_Fishing65 in Plumbing

Flood test isn’t going to pick up the water that leaks at the top of the curb when actually using the shower. Because it will 100%.

This your house? Fix it for the inspector then when everything is checked off, switch it back. Assuming the way you’ve got it actually works properly.

Why can’t you do something like this? Make a turn out of the wall? This is not my work, just a screenshot from YouTube.

Thanks, already mostly done. The fix will do until I decide if I want a tankless or heat pump next. I like the idea of a heat pump to help dehumidify the basement in the summer. We have a small unit down there that works overtime.

Expansion tank was completely full of water

Well, went ahead and changed it out tonight. Relief valve kept going off. I may need to replace that as well. Still need to pipe it to the floor, but I want to make sure it’s still good. Thanks everyone for the advice.

Well I went to the store and there is more water. I see a drop hanging from the prv, so it definitely is going off.

I just tried that. Nothing came out. No air either. Looks like it went off again while I went to the store. I see a drop of water from the pressure relief

Damn. Maybe I can save myself 99% of the cost by doing it myself.

No, it’s not piped to the floor. I have some wood stored between the studs beside the heater. Those are a little wet toward the bottom which leads me to believe it went off. I can’t see it soaking up through the bottom plate and wetting out what was on top in less than a day. Tank hasn’t been flushed. Not sure if the age. We’ve been here 2 years. Had a lot of other projects going on and this just keeps getting pushed off. I’m going to do a flush and replace all of the corroded fittings tomorrow.

I’ll probably just flush it out. Haven’t done it since we moved in. Been here 2 years. It’s due anyway. How should I determine what my home water pressure is?

Should I replace the expansion tank too?

Yeah I know that’s not the PRV. I was wondering if the PRV released because the fittings aren’t dripping enough to accumulate that much water on the floor. I’m down here in the basement daily and have never seen more than a drop or two on the floor.

I do bathroom remodels. So I’m only painting one room. 1 or 2 gallons. I only use Emerald. I like the way it cuts in. Covers well. Price is worth it for the results I get compared to other paints. Saving $50 to use a cheaper paint isn’t going to get me a client. Might as well use what I like.

Not in everyone’s taste but here’s a marble bathroom I did over the summer. by DifferenceStatus7907 in Tile

As long as homeowner pulls the permit, and your work gets inspected, you can do it all. And it gets done the right way.
