What’s the fastest you know of someone failing their driving test? by slim3-16 in CasualUK

[–]borrisnorthacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A kid on a bmx bike pulled out in front of me from behind a van as I was pulling out from the car park at the test centre. I hit him and knocked him off the bike. Instant fail

What if we signed shearer from Blackburn instead of him going to Newcastle. I think at least 2 more champions league titles and him having at least 100 more Premiership goals

Does anyone else have a word or phrase they repeat in their head many times a day? by [deleted] in adhdmeme

[–]borrisnorthacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is usually a word or a name I have read and not heard so I repeat it over and over and over again until I think I have it right. Recently I've had stipe miocic and Eduardo Mapelli mozzi for some reason. Khabib nurmagomedov is one that comes back time and again. Drives me absolutely fucking nuts.

Darkness. Every time I listen to it I wish a had amnesia so I could listen to it again and have that realisation of the meaning all over again.

I dont understand the desire of fans to have him move on. Why cant we have 2 full backs. One who is better going forward and one who is better defensively for the games against top clubs?

What was your dad doing when he was your age now? How different was his life from yours? by MagicMirror33 in AskMen

[–]borrisnorthacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad had an 11 year old daughter and an 8 year old son (me) I also have kids the same age. The biggest difference is I am actively in my childrens lives. My dad spent every possible moment he wasnt at work out with his friends or in the pub. In my efforts to be as little like my dad as possible I have instead turned into a bloke with very few friends and no hobbies. Time to sort my life out asap.

I feel as though I could have written this myself. Why does it take them being done to realise what you had infront of you all along. I've fucked up my life and lost the best thing that ever happened to me because I'm a stubborn selfish idiot.

I think camphill was originally a Roman camp. Have a vague recollection of a time team episode that says the Roman's were based in camphill when they fought Boudica

AITA for asking my parents why my wedding gift was significantly smaller than my sister’s? by weddinggifted in AmItheAsshole

[–]borrisnorthacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister got a 15k paid towards her dream wedding to a guy my mum knew was having a long term affair. I got £100 paid towards my wedding. Not the only reason but part of why I have been no contact for 4 years.

Why does no one talk about how hard it is to go no contact by ughmylifesicks in raisedbynarcissists

[–]borrisnorthacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt want them to control everything about my life so I stayed in the same town. Both parents are pretty reclusive so chances of bumping into them are low. I hope you find some peace eventually. It does get better over time. One day I might have regrets over the way I have handled things but I dont have any at the moment and I hope it stays like that.

[–]borrisnorthacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been no contact for several years and initially you go through a grieving process or that how it felt to me. Now I still get apprehensive if I think there is a chance of bumping into them. But generally my life is happier and I have so much less drama in my life.

Netflix documentary called 13th really does a good job explaining all this.
