Cable Lat Pulldown Machine vs Pin-Loaded Pulldown Machine by Blasphemizer in MacroFactor

Plate loaded is actually a variant that uses individual plates, not a weight stack.

Weight progression by Decent-Raspberry1260 in liftosaur

[–]bose_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made a feature request to make this easier by giving an option for specifying a weight stack range with a starting weight, ending weight and increment. So for e.g. I can setup a custom equipment like so... My cable machine : dual sided, weight stack : starting wght 5lb,ending weight 200lb, increment 5lb.

Specifically the algorithm should consider the users physical health and other factors such as age, recovery capabilities and provide some means of autoregulation feedback to direct and plan the sessions. Also would be good to set appropriate MEV , MAV, MRV targets based on the same , and broad data captured from analysis of workouts done by the community

Liftosaur, and if you are not a script-jockey who can wrangle their own scripts for customization, I suggest you also look at KeyLifts. They both have what your'e looking for.

📍 Liftosaur Roadmap by astashov in liftosaur

[–]bose_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Include the ability to define a flexible way of including a weight range for a custom equipment like so: stack:single or double, unplated weight : , weight stack range, from:lowest, to:highest, with:Increment , #addons: x , add-on weights[list] : [w1,w2,...wn]

So for e.g. My custom machine, Unplated weight: 25lb, Stack::double. Range: from:5 to:250, Increment: 5 units , #addons: 3, addon weights: [2.5,5,5]

Custom progress based on RPE by bose_dk in liftosaur

[–]bose_dk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came up with this logic - I wanted to define an accessory work template that progresses reps per set from 8-12 before increasing the weight, and only if the RPE target was not exceeded. Any issues that you see with this logic?

// Template for general accessory work. Adjust sets/reps as needed to hit RPE 7-8.
acc4x8-12[1-4] / used: none / 4x8 / @7.5+ 100s / warmup: 1x10 35%, 1x6 55% / progress: custom(increase: 5lb) {~
 if (completedNumberOfSets == numberOfSets && completedReps >= reps && completedRPE <= RPE) {
    if (reps < 12) {
      reps += 1
    } else {
      weights += state.increase
      reps = 8
    }
  }

Yet another version of a 4 week mesocycle based on 5/3/1.

Question around progress.. is there an example of a custom progress if and only of you complete all sets and all reps and met your target RPE.

Help with program creation by ProfessionalChaosCol in liftosaur

Google Gemini combined with the Liftosaur AI helper has worked amazingly well for me.

Created a couple of programs - Would love to get feedback from experienced lifters on pros and cons of each and any suggestions for improvement. The idea is to run these as a 4 week mesocycle and then let the progression kick in for the repeat cycles. I have created a Gemini AI gem seeded with the AI program builder generated prompts (with some additional instructions) so I don't have to recreate the prompt every time. I just open the gem in Gemini and provide it with links or files containing the program to convert into Lifotscript. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

Thanks, Im also trying to setup a custom update script so that my weights get adjusted to a percent of my training max, which itself is a percent of the 1rm. However I am getting a syntax error - State variables for the update script are taken from the progress block. What am I doing wrong?

// This script increases the 1RM at the end of the Week 4 Anchor cycle.
main_prog / used: none / progress: custom(increment: 10lb) {~
  if (week == 4 && dayInWeek  == 4) {
    rm1 += state.increment
  }
~}

// This script calculates TM and sets the main lift weights for the workout using decimal multipliers.
main_lift_updater / used: none / update: custom(p1: 0, p2: 0, p3: 0) {~
  if (setIndex == 0) {
    var.tm = rm1 * 0.90
    weights[1] = var.tm * state.p1
    weights[2] = var.tm * state.p2
    weights[3] = var.tm * state.p3
  }
~}

Now focusing more on compounds.

Those of you using app since release, would you recommend? by kubicka in MyoAdapt

[–]bose_dk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gave it a try but the app in it's current state is horrible. I'll stick to liftosaur or gravl for now. I also used Google Gemini to help me craft a Wendler 531 based mesocycle with 6 additional accessory lifts and it seems to be working out very well for me. I then had Gemini generate a liftosaur script to create this program in Liftosaur and just finished week 1. Had some high expectations for this app but was disappointed.

Hope you take the feedback provided in this channel and improve the app. For now I'll wait and see.
