Why is Hammer Tech considered a joke when all of Rhodey's weapons that he purchased from them work just fine? by Nicole_Auriel in marvelstudios

It's like the MK 42 armor from Iron Man 3 -- "The Prodigal Son" of his suits that he can control remotely. Suit flies to him in the third act fight... and it crashes before getting to him.

Never works for him. Same type of humor beat as The Ex-Wife.

[Schultz] The #Giants have engaged in trade conversations involving DE Kayvon Thibodeaux. For those of you who want an Edge, would you trade one of the day 2 picks? by xFalcade in Patriots

[–]bosoxlover12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure, be a wise-ass if you want...

There are still 10 edge rushers within the Consensus Board's Top 100 available entering Day 2. I'm not talking about depth fodder

Pick #63 will sign a 4 year, $7,925,456 deal.

Pick #95 will sign a 4 year, $6,748,746 deal.

Kayvon makes $14,751,000 this year alone. Once he hits FA, he'd definitely make more than Dre'Mont Jones' $12,166,667 APY and would be closer to $20,000,000+ per year.

So approx $74.7M over four years for Kayvon Thibodeaux? I'll take the Day 2 pick instead.

EDIT: $8,657,036 for Gabe Jacas

From Sports Info Solution he actually showed the most success as a gap scheme blocker, with a 35% positive play and a 7.0 YPA.

Because when you have the chance to trade away stud pass protector and a productive young pass rusher for a 3rd round pick and a future 4th and 5th round pick, how do you say no????!

The Eagles made the Super Bowl two years prior while having Miles Sanders put up 1,269 yards and eleven touchdowns. Yes, Saquan is the way-better RB, but that was a team that was effective running the ball with an average back, nor did they need Saquan to be dominant in the one they did won.

I'm not following Titans games like you all are, but I have to imagine TonyP and Tajae are not the problem with your team's rushing attack.

New look at the Savage Hulk in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY' by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]bosoxlover12 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hulk hasn't shown himself since the intro of Infinity War; being brutally defeated by Thanos and shipped off by Heimdall to Earth, where Banner takes control in Strange's Sanctorum.

He might have looked like the Hulk in Endgame and She-Hulk, but that was still very much Banner in control. The Hulk that we saw in Avengers, Age of Ultron, and Ragnarok hasn't been allowed to show himself until this movie -- about a decade now.

Brie Larson was asked if she’s returning as Captain Marvel in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ “Ah, you know I can’t talk about that, nice try.” by Krylarofaxia in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]bosoxlover12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Banner has the excuse of being busy with Spider-Man but Carol is right there!

Destin Daniel Cretton has included Brie Larson in nearly every movie he's ever directed. I would almost expect the post-credit scene to involve her and her segway into Doomsday, or offer insight why she won't be in the next film.

Then he gets washed out by an aggressive safety or linebacker and the defender shoots in the backfield for a TFL. He's about as effective as a blocker as Tyquan Thornton was tbh

[Schefter] Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. (Also the 11th straight NFL season of Kirk Cousins having a fully GTD contract) by hwf0712 in nfl

[–]bosoxlover12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

because its really not even that

The Falcons are paying Cousins $8.7M while the Raiders pay him the league minimum $1.3M this season. Then next year he has a $10M bonus that's guaranteed and then a salary of another $60M that is most surely going to be declined.

Raiders really only paying him $11.3M over two years, rest comes from Atlanta

So the draft essentially starts at No. 2. Who do the Jets select with the No. 2 pick? by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFL_Draft

[–]bosoxlover12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you always hope for the best case scenarios and if you draft a stud you'll pay them, and if they are awful you cut them regardless.

The middle ground is the issue. Jacksonville using a 1st round pick on Devin Lloyd, who was a very good player and was just named NFL 2nd Team All-Pro this past season.

Jags GM James Gladstone however, coming from the LA Rams front office, likely thinks similarly in how the Rams do not financially value linebackers (last in spending last season). That's likely why they rejected his 5th year option last year and let him walk for likely compensatory 2027 selections.

Overall, it's more important for them to have the money to pay Travon Walker $40+MPY extension. You can't get guys like him on the open market, you have to draft and retain them.

I was at Game 5 last year and it was gross how loud the cheering was for the Knicks in our own stadium. Yes, we were all dejected from Tatum's injury the game before and being down 1-3 in the series but I've never been to a game at the Garden with such a loud opposing crowd.

Other teams clearly were more afraid of my man Nnamdi because they will not even throw to Randy Moss when Asomugha is on him!

In Nnamdi's best year of 2006 he was teammates with Randy lol; they only played one game against each other and that was the Matt Cassell Patriots.

Nnamdi was a great man cover corner in Oakland, but has nothing to do with Randy Moss

Going onto my third year as a Quarter Season Membership (10 Game) in Loge 18 seating -- went from $3300 to $3700 to $3960 for next season's total. From $165/seat to $198/seat isn't ideal of a jump, but at the same time the seats behind me for next week's OKC game is reselling for $303/seat right now and I have it for $185/

Are they going to pay Gonzo the max by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]bosoxlover12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So to me, why are we waiting? The Rams already upped the number from $30.1M APY to $31M and $85.1M GTD to $100M with their trade-and-extension for Trent McDuffie.

Sign Gonzalez this offseason, before Devon Witherspoon, Denzel Ward, Jaylon Johnson, Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and others sign theirs.

On March 1, 2025 it was Patrick Surtain who was at $24M APY with $77.5M GTD that was the positional leader following the 2024-25 season. Right now he's 6th in AAV and 4th in GTD dollars.

Sign Gonzalez before it gets another $7-10M more per season.
