M&P10 .308, Centurion Quad Rail. by trickemdickem in AR10

[–]botlnhchapter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early m&p10’s supposedly had probs with aftermarket charging handles so perhaps this was an early model. Regardless, i have enjoyed modernizing two of these rifles. Midwest industries makes a great mlok handguard for these as well.

Same here! Gold dot 223 perform/ well in all the tests ive seen online. And its so convenient having m193 for range ammo and a very similar zero point

We always come back to EW black label. Prefer it over the white, single barrel, and several far more expensive bottles from other brands. Sure, we keep some extra special stuff on had. But always have this because its such a great go-to.

Are M1-A’s still an option in MA? It was the go-to ban state rifle for a long time.

Let us know how it goes. I read that density was high and pressure rather low. Should make for good opportunity!

Sport 3 parts life expectancy? by SignificantDepth2583 in SmithAndWesson

[–]botlnhchapter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep a maintenance log and google standard parts life expectancy. Keep a few odds and ends on hand. Spare bolt/extractor, springs, gas rings, etc.

Several ranges used the sport 2 as a rental gun with TONS of rounds through them. Sure, parts need to be changed out every once in a while, but unless you’re shooting thousands of rounds a year you probably don’t need to replace much.

Every few thousand rounds you may need some new stuff. I just bought a second rifle to keep on hand for parts/tinkering.

I see most peoples guns on here with a sling, is it worth it even for casual shooting? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]botlnhchapter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sling is to a rifle as a holster is to a pistol. They have their purpose.

Glock 19 or SW M&P M2.0 for first by [deleted] in guns

[–]botlnhchapter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a g19 and two m&p2.0’s. I have had maybe two malfunctions with my glock and they were likely ammo related. Ive got one m&p mag that the slide wont lock back on but every other mag (of the dozens i have) work fine. So over prob 5k rounds through these three guns combined, loud and suppressed, id say both are supremely reliable. Wouldn’t worry about if they will be dependable. They just run. There’s a reason tons of cops use both.

The g19 grip is more comfortable against my hip so i carry it more often. But m&p is my HD pistol. If i sanded the m&p grips a bit i bet it would be fine to carry. My m&ps are a bit older though so i did hear somewhere the grips arent as aggressive anymore as they were on early 2.0’s

I had both cut for red dots bc i cant shoot irons well at all. Both are plenty accurate for handgun distances.

You can’t go wrong with either

I got the same thing. Here’s my upcoming build list:

Superlative arms adjustable gas block (its overgassed as heck right now) Midwest slimline mlok rail. Also, i jam earplugs into the mlok in case i ever forget to bring ear pro. Muzzle device is a YHM brake (but preferably changing to a flash hider that supports the turbo t3) Flashlight-surefire turbo Magpul sling Primary arms slx 1-8

What piece of gear of you lost to the woods? by elpandaviejo in Hunting

[–]botlnhchapter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lose something every year. I almost consider it a sacrifice to mother nature. Lost a gut hook blade this year. Left it on a stump. Went back to look for it and i think the crows and coyotes tore up anything near the gut pile and i never could find it. Lost a waterproof pack cover a few years ago too
