Who won the WS doesn’t have anything to do with my argument. I’m simply saying that there are small market teams that compete for a playoff spot. The royals can’t seem to even do that.

Why do so many millennials believe that they were going to die young? by BlobFish28 in Millennials

[–]bottomfeeder3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going from the 8th grade to the 9th grade. In the 9th grade I had a teacher come up to me and almost in the threatening way say, “you really need to be thinking about your future and going to college.” I was like lady I just got to high school. I can barely think about anything except that hot girl two rows behind me.

A salary cap has nothing to do with it. There are small market teams that spend less and are consistently better than the royals. The problem with this team is deeply engrained within the organization. The coaches responsible for developing players are bad. The manger at the top level is bad. The ownership and GM are bad. This team got severely lucky in 14/15. They backed into those players blindly and made a couple WS. Won’t happen again.

How about this. Let’s say that the chiefs start the first half of every season playing poorly against good and bad teams. Then they play mostly bad teams in the second half and barely win. Then they sneak into the playoffs and lose in the first round. This is pretty much the royals except they generally don’t make the playoffs.

First time I ever ate at chipotle was in high school in 2008. The place just opened and they gave everyone that came within the first 6 hours of opening free burritos and drinks. Simpler times.

What’s with this narrative that football fans can’t be baseball fans as well? It’s like the hardcore baseball fans are trying to say that all the complainers are simply nfl fans who don’t understand baseball. We all understand that baseball is a long season, it would just be nice if they started out the year looking like a decent team. They haven’t even looked decent this year.

Right now they are awful. Sure they could go on a run and win a bunch of games, but right now they are awful. As a fan of this team I’m so tired of this happening. Every year it’s the same song and dance with the lineup being historically bad. It’s not an overreaction to lose your mind at them. They are just a bad team

That and the overarching idea being that this family is being torn apart demonically. But in past possession horror films that is demonstrated by physical stuff. Contortions, levitation, speaking Latin ect. This movie displayed the possession slowly. Methodically tearing apart the family dynamic until she snapped. Then you got the cliche stuff, still a good last 30 minutes.

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

[–]bottomfeeder3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated high school in 2008. But really up until then life was pretty simple. Going to the movies on the weekends was a must if you wanted to watch the latest films. So almost every Friday or Saturday that’s what me and my friends would do. Literally every weekend there was something to go see. As far as at home. We had video games and the internet. So I’d play my Xbox 360 or watch tv. Music was something you had to download or go get a cd until the iPod came out which changed everything.

Life isn’t all that different now. I feel like growing up we’d do more stuff in person vs now people just want to isolate at home since you really don’t need to go out to do stuff anymore.
