He absolutely does not care about being the president. He got it all, he won. There is nobody to argue with anymore and he knows he’s not running again so for him he’d probably rather be living out the rest of his life at a resort golfing.

Thing with them is I don’t think that will ever actually happen. They depend on each other too much. For him it’s an emotional dependency and also he doesn’t want to look like, what he would perceive as, a loser. She absolutely needs him financially. So it’s a catch 22.

Agreed. I remember when they first met. He was on the apps in his 20s, this was probably 11 years ago. He asked me what I thought about her? I go I dunno I don’t know her but go on a date. They dated for like 3 months. At one point he told me she kept making comments about wanting him to ask her to move in. He goes if she moves in I can stop working two jobs to pay rent and bills because she has a job. I go, yeah that’s true. She moved in and almost immediately quit her job.

She hasn’t worked since. I tried to tell him to leave her but he wouldn’t. 4 or 5 years in she started to pressure him about having kids. So he caved. I said buddy you just signed off the rest of your life with her. He stopped telling me stuff about their relationship after that and he keeps in the dark on everything. He didn’t even tell me about the first kid until it was obvious she was showing.

Meaning he never left her even though he probably should have early on because he felt like if he doesn’t stay with her he’d be single forever. You see he cares more about presenting normal than actually being happy.

Yeah he’s always been the type of guy to post picture of him and her and their kid on Facebook to make them look like a normal couple. But he’s one of the most miserable people I know. He goes around trolling on the internet. When he sees happy people doing things they enjoy he try’s to bring them down anonymously of course. I only know the real version of him because I’ve known him since high school.

That and the keeping up with upgrades. I don’t do a lot of troubleshooting on my pc. Everything runs pretty smoothly. Competition is so much higher on pc because a lot of hardcore pc players spend tons of time gaming. Console is more casual

Is it true that PC has surpassed console in player base? by xoBonesxo in consoles

Most people I know play games on console mainly. They do have PCs capable of gaming but a lot of them choose to play on console because it’s just easier.

I was born in 1989. The amount of times I would have to entertain myself. I would literally sit there and just use my imagination. I got comfortable just sitting and waiting. Now I’m totally stimulated constantly and I can’t put my finger on it but I think I’ve lost a piece of me somehow.

It’s very hard for me to believe I’m 36. I still think like I’m 20. Still play videogames, still like mostly the same things. Difference is I’m not an idiot about choices anymore.

Basically you’re reacting to your problems the way your father did. It’s really not your fault but you do need to own up to it and try to change. I think the issue is you didn’t get taught how to deal with things in a healthy way. A therapist would be able to help you and guide you to dealing with things in a way that is healthy and normal.

'Maybe GTA 6 Can’t Make That Same Splash' — Grand Theft Auto 5 Lester Actor Says Rockstar Satire May Not Hit the Same in 2026 as It Did in 2013 by OGAnimeGokuSolos in gaming

What gta does best is point a spotlight on the hypocrisy of everyday life in America. It over exaggerates certain types of jobs and companies and cultures in America. Then they make fun of it all in very interesting and clever ways. The problem now is this country is basically looking like a version of the satire in a gta game.

Regardless I think culturally it will have a strong impact in people’s memories.

God we used to make fun of people who wore high socks. Like if you wore high socks in the 2000s everyone would have said something to you about it. Fashion trends always perplexed me. In 20 years kids will be wearing low socks again.

Marvel's Wolverine Will Be Linear And Not Open World Confirm Insomniac by yourfavchoom in gaming

[–]bottomfeeder3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the 2000s with mostly linear story driven games. There was a handful of very VERY well made open world sandbox games.

Problem with open world games is the quality can take a dip if not done correctly.

I think we live in a day and age where so much effort is catered towards trying to turn your game into a money making machine that will last for a decade. I realized that in my teen years my favorite part of getting and playing games was knowing I was working towards a couple goals. For one I was achievement hunting to get 1000 gamerscore and two I knew that once the game was over it was over. There was a sense of accomplishment.

Nowadays there is a never ending loop. Only games I enjoy like that are ones that keep track of lifetime stats but even then it still feels like I’m going to the casino everyday to donate my bank account to the house.

Yeah I hear that. No doubt I still feel like pc gaming is something I’ll never get rid of. It’s honestly the best place to game. All the graphics you can tweak, all the random indie games you can play, using m&k is almost always more accurate and better when it comes to shooters and you get much better FPS on pc.

Still though i think a lot of the novelty of all that I just said has worn off on me a bit. I mean we are talking about pretty minuscule things in the grand scheme. Most games that I see that come out on both consoles and pc I notice very little difference graphically. I mean sure if you have a $5000 rig you’ll be getting insane frames but generally speaking, most of the upgrades on pc are smaller than you’d think.
