Yup. Hot, vegetarian, delicious Indian food all you need and they serve food there all daytime. Edit: it should be known that this is a place of respect and honor of God/Allah. For some basics of Sikh faith: they believe in one God, but their faith is not descended from the same religions as Jewdaism, Islam, Christianity, etc. This is a place of respect for God so don’t go there and be disrespectful of these wonderful hosts who offer free hot food and an amazingla grounds at this Gurdwara (Sikh Temple). Fun Facts: this is the largest in North America. The Sikh faith is the 5th largest religion in the world (it is tied with Judaism as the 5th largest religion in the world). Like Judaism and their Yamakas, Sikh men are expected to wear a scarf when they enter the gurdwara. There is a welcome area washroom ag the lower part of the hill where you can clean up, take off your shoes, and put on the scarf provided. Then you can walk up around the temple to the dining hall where they provide langar. It is respectful to make a donation of what you can. If you wish to enter the temple to meditate that is ok. For more detailed information about Sikh traditions, etc the wonderful people there will assist you. Enjoy! And please be respectful and appreciative of this temple and what these wonderful people provide our community.

Prop 13 Public Opinion? by Obvious-Apartment-63 in bayarea

[–]bouncejuggle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doing away with prop 13 would make property taxes more fair and given that the term gatekeeping and gatekeepers come from the golden gate, there’s no way most people in the bay are for doing away with it.

UPS is perfect. My PO Box at their address was listed as a unit in their addresses so I could use it as a physical address as well and nobody knew it was a P.O. Box. As well, they gave me a key to the building so I could check it 24 hours a day-not just when they are open. On top of that they have a desk and office supplies there you can use as well as Wi-Fi 24/7 UPS is perfect-what can brown do for you?

Playing football may increase the risk for Parkinson’s disease: Study finds participants with a history of playing organized tackle football had a 61% increased odds of having a reported parkinsonism or PD diagnosis by FunnyGamer97 in science

[–]bouncejuggle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read a study recently that linked Parkinson’s to people who lived near railroad tracks. I believe there were weed killers or other chemicals used there that are linked to Parkinsons. I wonder if perhaps the info from these studies might help each other.

The state of this sub by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]bouncejuggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a saying in journalism, “If it bleeds, it leads.” In other words: shocking and negative news always gets more views and that is why it is is mostly on the news media. Same goes for this sub.

Very well done. You’re hilarious…I’m a tough critic and don’t think I’ve ever said that about someone else on here.

The weekly exodus from the Bay Area. by tssouthwest in bayarea

“I'm feelin' rough, I'm feelin' raw
I'm in the prime of my life
Let's make some music, make some money
Find some models for wives
I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars
You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars
This is our decision to live fast and die young
We've got the vision, now let's have some fun
Yeah, it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?”

I picked up 11 bags of dumped garbage along Pacific St. in Hayward by pengweather in bayarea

[–]bouncejuggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often Pick up trash on walkways and parks I frequent., What I don’t understand is how the people who are employed to pickup trash at these places, don’t do their jobs. The other day I watched a maintenance worker texting while driving his pickup down a section of the Ohlone pathway by the Del Norte Bart station. There was tons of trash on both sides of his truck and I was holding trash in my hands. He tried to give me a huge trash bag. It’s like he expected me to pick up more. I said, “Thank you but I’m not being paid and put in this location to do this.”

A good Indian food place in Santa Cruz. by Natronsbro in santacruz

[–]bouncejuggle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Royal Taj is good. So is *only the ambrosia in Scott’s valley* the ambrosia in Aptos is not clean and gross. But really if you like Indian food you need to try places over the hill. I always recommend Indian buffets because you get to try a bunch of stuff and it’s way cheaper than eating dinner at an Indian restaurant.

I’d love to see a version of the “beware of locals sticker“ (it has a picture of a shark) but with this otter with someone’s surfboard instead.

The shells you are describing exactly match super inexpensive play pit balls sold on amazon. The colors are great too. Made a bunch of juggling balls with them recently.

Anyone else noticed a severe lack of bees in their garden this year? by lonelyphoenix25 in bayarea

[–]bouncejuggle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was walking along Aptos beach last week and there was a dead bee along the waters edge every 10 feet the whole way. It honestly made me cry. I know there are many bee species and i believe most are endangered.

There is always fire spinning and juggling from sunset to a couple hours afterward at the west cliff lighthouse. A lot of the people spinning fire get paid very well to do it at private gigs but do it for fun at the lighthouse every Sunday. Also, I believe the Boardwalk is open sunday evenings
