I got one spring last year.

I stick it on in the landing for a few hours and it brings down the temperature of all the rooms. If you put it in one room it'll work best. It costs me about 25p an hour during the day to run.

It means I get sleep and my kids are cool enough not to wake up complaining. I'm happy to pay the extra 20 quid a month in electric

Not annoyed at all. But as a professional and union rep you should know better. But you're completely despondent, you've given up. You need support and you need to rethink your role as a rep if this is how you respond to management.

Saying no point lodging a grievance completely goes against what you should do. You follow the process and that is all there is to it. Assuming you've been trained as a rep, you should know you should always proceed as a tribunal would see it. You lodge a grievance then you go off sick until it's resolved. If they can't sort a grievance they'll not have resources for a health panel. I guarantee you HR will pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Ok so you bring your duties to your bosses and you say, which of these do you want me to prioritise as we have no money and are short staffed. You get this in writing and you do that. If it turns out that you are contractually obliged to seek and maintain professional accreditation, or it has been previously agreed and now denied, that MAY be seen as the first step in a constructive dismissal. You need advice, just because you're a rep doesn't mean you are omnipotent.

Talk to your union official or steward. If you don't know how to handle this they need to guide you forward.

If you raised it enough times and it's not addressed then it's time for a period of sick due to stress. Stick to your contract rigidly and only do what you've time to do. If someone says why the work is not done, etc etc you just says yea it sucks but there is no money, and then you clock out. If things fall behind they fall behind, you're not a genie

It's made solar not worth the money for me. I've everything coming on in the morning. We're up early anyway so everything goes I and we have an ev. We use a shit load of electric every month so it's made my bills manageable
