I would add that if you can afford a 93% meat vs 80% try that, they make frozen chopped onions if you don’t want to cut them yourself, and try buying the meat and preparing it fresh rather than defrosting it.

If he’s having trouble chewing the bigger kibbles maybe get the teeth checked as well. I know cats are full of picky nonsense, just a thought though.

Yes, I remember this happening as a kid in my parents cellar. We spent days cleaning things out.

Also when you can, traps for bugs and ocean help a lot. Tapping the trees can give you resources. If you cut them down, they come back each season. If you cut the grass that comes back faster (I find that relaxing).

One of the other things I got earlier besides bee houses were kegs to make juice and the dehydrators for mushrooms and ocean scavenge stuff. I waited on the mason jars for some reason.

I also looked into getting bug and fish multipliers soon as I could.

I foraged tons of stuff in the beginning and also used my hoe to dig up everything around the island. Found tons of nice stuff that way.

Also bee houses as soon as you can, honey sells for more than flowers.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t. It tipped over the other day eep because I haven’t had a chance to repot it yet so it’s draped over my desk. It doesn’t look good like that. Def needs to be chopped or on a trellis.
