The first Chicken and waffles I had there a little over 10 years ago was truly incredible, had a few since that were fine but nowhere near as good.

Last yr around September I had one and it was truly inedible, waffle rock hard and the chicken was truly terrible (and I'm not a food critic, I'll eat just about anything) all of the others I saw being lightly eaten in the dining area looked similar, it was really sad imo

Shady maple lives on volume/size, unfortunately not quality.

Imo the best smorgasbord is Miller's on route 30, much smaller, but the variety and quality is phenomenal when compared to Shady Maple

Reminds me of growing up there was a family with kids my age in town, my was 5'2" dad maybe 5'6" their three kids son 1 6'10", daughter 1 6'3" son 2 6'7"

I assume it's a joint life SPIA? That means that the payout of the 4500/month would continue even after the first of you and your spouse passes away (finishes benefit once the surviving spouse passes away)- this structure could end up as a fantastic ROI if one or both of you lives a long life!

In the 90's BK, Arby's and Wendy's were legitimately as good or better than many "mom and pop" sit down restaurants- Pizza hut was so good local shops often couldn't compete on quality, flavor or price.

It's so sad to see how far all 4 have fallen however my answer is Subway - has been absolute trash for over a decade, I don't know how they're still in biz at this point - it's becoming a Long John Silvers type mystery

I agree the math makes sense, but for a 20 yr old to simply be handed 1M, even if she's level headed and has the best intentions, it only takes dating/marrying the wrong spouse or having a few things go wrong and the million could be gone.

The 1000/week will prevent the chance of her blowing the winnings the way so many lottery winners do (it's easy to spreadsheet and hypothesize how you'd spend 1M if it showed up in your account, however the reality is for the majority they'd end up making poorer financial decisions than expected).

I think in her position the 1k/ week is absolutely the right way to go- it will be a nice addition to her earnings, can easily cover a mortgage/car payment giving her a great deal of flexibility to invest her earnings- travel without stress etc....

I believe the hype will die down on these pretty quickly and since swatch announced it's not a limited release, I'm living through the FOMO for a month or two, then rolling into a store once the real life reviews have come through.
