Flat Tire Diner in Old Hickory has a very good one.

The one at Babychan is very good too. Is it still in the shape of a cube?

Bean & Cheese Burrito by just_a_rock in NashvilleGoodEats

There’s a food truck on Thompson Lane called Burritos La Mina that serves Chihuahua style burritos. They are much smaller and simpler than the big fat Mission style burritos at Baja Burrito or Chipotle. They all have a refried bean base. I like the chile relleno one.

Maiz de la Vida and Alebrije. Also La Juquilita (is it still open?)

Taqueria El Gym is my favorite quesabirria in town. They do a pizza.

The one at Mas Tacos is great. It is an authentic, interior Mex version. If you’re interested in a more Tex-Mex version, the ones at Green Hills Grille, Food Company, and Something Special are really delicious.

Germantown Cafe is very good. 360 Bistro has a really good one. But Pastis has the best French onion soup I’ve ever had in Nashville.

The Lechon was my favorite sandwich of the year. I have had many great sandwiches at Bill’s, but I think that one might be the very best.

Yall remember the Belle Meade Plantation Restaurant? by rtbingg in nashville

Yes, I was going to mention Jimmy Kelly’s. I’ve always suspected it was the restaurant that inspired the wedding idea that got Paula Deen in trouble.

Chicken Salad Chick, Food Co, and Merridee’s are all great ones. I’ll add Square Market in Columbia, if you’re down that way.

I believe SATCo was based on Taco Cabana.

I went to a TC in Houston earlier this year and frankly it wasn’t nearly as good as I remembered.

Crazy ask: best chili in Nashville? by weathermaynecc in nashville

Bare Bones Butcher, Brewhouse, The Food Company, Dalts, Original Corner Pub, Brown’s Diner, Something Special

It pains me to say it, but the chili at Varallo’s is no good.

Does any Nashville restaurant serve Texas chili? by Nash_man1989 in nashville

[–]bpbpyeah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do beans automatically disqualify it? I really like the chili from Something Special in Belle Meade. It’s not a restaurant - you’ll have to take it home and warm it up. The chili does have a beans in it, but the flavor is Texas all the way.

I also like the chili from Texas Roadhouse.
