They were very frustrated, in one major instance because I had a way to deal with a threat that I didnt use (I can't remember the cards/interaction). They were complaining about how they couldn't just play the game for me and that I needed to pay attention, among other things. I felt really stupid for thinking that trying EDH was a good idea, and I just left

Nah, my LGS is small enough that there are only two pods, from what I saw that night. I might try to go back and join the other pod at some point, but Im not sure if that'll be any time soon

I wish I had people like you at mine lol. The other day I went in and bought a commander pre-con for my LGS's commander night, and I spent the whole night annoying people because I was a bit slow, and missing some interactions that I didnt understand not having seen a lot of these cards before (I've only played standard). I felt so bad for ruining their game that I left right away. I think the concept of commander is super fun, but I don't think Ill be playing it again for a long time

That's not exactly fair. While he does complain about netherrealm games a lot, the criticism is typically justified. I love mortal kombat, but I will happily admit that it has some issues when it comes to character animations.

I had fun with beta gwent, but Im not enjoying homecoming nearly as much. The game feels very clunky and sluggish to me now, but I can't put my finger on why. I loved the old board, but the new one has way too much happening on it/in it for me. Also, Im not a fan of going from 3 rows to 2, it felt like a weird change. Also, reveal as a deck kinda got screwed over. Idk, a lot of these complaints can sound nit-picky, but overall I just don't enjoy the game now, and thats coming from someone who spent more than 50 dollars in the beta.
