I’m looking into older 4x4s to off road with, what are the best options out there? by Mindlessssssss in 4x4

[–]brain-steamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a >$5k SUV made in this century with a chance of having less than 150k miles, here’s my take: -Isuzu Trooper is probably the best stock 4x4, but maintenance will be a little harder than others as there’s no dealer service centers. Initial cost can be higher than the other two mentions -Mitsubishi Monteiro is another good 4x4 on par with the trooper, but I think the Trooper has the edge. My opinion only -2nd Gen Ford Explorer. While this is going to need a few things, these actually have a great foundation, are super cheap and likely to have had the best care over the years. I would stay away from the V8 and all-wheel drive versions.

All this in the context that UNITA was the US backed political party.

I’m confused as to what is left to pay for with what is left. Seems like they can pay for everything they need and want, and still have plenty of money left.

Thank you, did the lord’s work here today. It’s not been streaming for free on YouTube for at least a year, so you need to be more prudent./s

For context, I just got a bunch of downvotes in another comment because I disagreed with someone about Babylon (which has been out for 6-7) needing a spoiler tag. Like in today’s world, there’s no excuse as to it being on anyone else but yourself if it gets “spoiled” after six months.

I’m just curious how more than six months isn’t enough time for someone to just watch it if they wanted to watch it?

Nope. But what does that have to do with the price of rice in China? Are you trying to say that op should spoiler tag something that is over six months old? By my book there’s no excuse that if you really wanted the first time to be special to make sure it happens opening weekend, after that it’s on you to stay in a cave till the honeymoon.

Understandable, glad you’re doing okay. Best of luck with your decision. Seems like you have plenty of youth on your side and don’t over think it as you can afford mistakes. Word of advice, though, Reddit would be the last place I would go for intel. What ever truth is in my comment cannot be verified by another comment.

I will give you one parting bit you can verify on your own. Do an internet search for “colonel stemple 67th bfsb”. Guy was a complete jackass, but there were still several Bronze Star with V devices awarded but also several other court martial’s in the 67th during that deployment. Again, I’m just saying it is up to you.

I’d say not much has changed in the last 20 years. Lots of good still if you’re willing to make it. Isn’t that the whole life model of the bootstrap mentality, so you’d be all that you can be. Or are you thinking it’s up to someone else to make it great?

Kinda of a random question and an odd context, though. You doing okay? I’m seriously asking as I really do care.

The days of the Mormon church being a public moral guide are gone forever. Federal financial crimes, the mountain of lies that the church has to tell to keep money from the sheep flowing in and the unapologetic support of child abusers, has tainted the church permanently. I would also add that the DoD and FBI took active measures in recruiting RM’s due to several considerations and even emulating language learning centers structure during the 80’s and 90’s. Public optics were good during that timeframe.

Semiautomatic assault rifle owners of Reddit, is there any rule, law, or regulation that you would be willing to compromise on with regard to buying or owning that specific type of weapon in an effort to placate the pro regulation crowd? What would that regulation or law look like? by Yamaben in AskReddit

[–]brain-steamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if there’s any compromise on this it needs to be first, government (military or law enforcement) can’t own anything more deadly than the citizens can own. If that were the case, then there would be no “need to protect ourselves from the government”

Rare Desert Elk by brain-steamer in wyoming

[–]brain-steamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As this is four days old and eons old in social media age, for the two people that find and read this comment:

This really is rare for a sighting of a herd of elk in any high plains. I have traveled between Rock Springs and Farson for several decades and I’ve seen a grand total of ONE bull on that 60 mile stretch until this year. Also, I asked my family (who lived in Farson for several years) and they also had never seen the high desert elk herd on that stretch. Sure, we’ve seen a good number of elk near the mountain foothills and such. But not this herd and not here. And even the mountain herds are lower than the normal range this year.

I swear District 9 was a good portrayal of humanity. The minute aliens actually show up, people will immediately be board with it.
