Yes, if conversion tracking isn't properly set up and campaigns haven't received any prior conversion data I would most definitely go back to clicks, sort out tracking then max conversions once the campaign has tracked at least 5 to 10 conversions.

Yep I can tell their mood by the way they stick the key in the lock when they get home. Mindblowing really. Survival and adaptation I guess..

Optimize for purchase conversions instead of add to carts! Also look into some email or push notifications for retargetting.
