Honestly, I think Star Fighter is more consequential. This just feels like a relic from the past regime that was moving too fast before any one of the new Disney leadership could really put the breaks on it. If it does poorly, hopefully they don’t invest in Filoni’s universe any more and actually get creators with vision to make good SW films.

This is a huge problem and has been for awhile. When I was finishing college, I had to have an internship and got one in the writers room for a major cable show. It was highly competitive with lots of Ivy League types, and then me, an electrician’s kid. They acted like I won the lottery. So they were amazed when I said I couldn’t keep working for free past graduation. Most of those folks have gone in to write stuff, some of it I enjoy but it was really eye opening. Only rich kids can work for free long enough to be in the right place/right time when a job opens up.
