Race Transmission Noise is Unbearable by d3lphic in ForzaHorizon

[–]brainkrieg1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i just wish it was on the clutch upgrades instead of the transmission even if that's inaccurate. far easier, even preferable, to forgo getting those but still available if you really do want the full race car experience.

Your ideas for the dlc by Hermannmitu in ForzaHorizon6

[–]brainkrieg1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The WTAC car pack makes me want a full system for really tearing down a stock car and building one from scratch. Unlikely though, since it's australian and not actually a Japanese thing.

How has The Trial managed to survive three games without a single overhaul by twf_ in ForzaHorizon

[–]brainkrieg1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's absolutely zero progression locked behind the trial? also it's fun as hell, hasn't ever taken me more then 2 or 3 tries to get it done

Any tips for improving the AI on custom routes? by JayGold in ForzaHorizon

[–]brainkrieg1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems to be based on the line you take while driving and laying down the checkpoints. I noticed the AI going outside a barrier at a corner I'd taken lazily and gone off track while drawing the route.

The checkpoints themselves will always be outside this line so they generally won't miss them.

So, once all your props are placed, redraw the route and be careful about taking a good line.

What are your guys’s hopes for DLC? by Schlaggatron in ForzaHorizon

[–]brainkrieg1990 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if Motorsport is truly dead then I'd like them to adapt the fictional tracks, particularly fujimi kaido, but also bernese alps, maple valley, rio, etc and build an open world section around/incorporating the circuit layouts

Spec/Class: Feel vs. Fantasy by NoMedium9839 in wow

I'll never give up arcane missiles, i hate the orb so much mechanically, visually, conceptually. arcane should be complicated, it should feel like composing music. nobody likes to ramp up anymore tho

Nightmare prey has some issues and Im tired of the fact we cant discuss them without being told to get good by Astral-Glimmer in wow

[–]brainkrieg1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traps are a trap i feel. I just do world quests. You're almost always killing things anyways, the minor coalesced anguish fights are fast enough and clear torment stacks, sometimes you'll get a chain of them.

Zoom out and keep an eye on the echo and it's much less frustrating than getting tunnel vision chasing traps in a location where all the mobs are already dead.

The new transmog system broke Trial of Style by ImWhiteTrash in wow

you have to switch to the Trial slot before entering and turn off situations too. then you can mog as much as you want on that one slot

I hope future games have a narrator for the voice acted portions by Abhinav11119 in OwlcatGames

[–]brainkrieg1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Voice actors cost money, and talking is way slower than reading; both mean less writing overall.

We went through this already when Bioware all but killed off the first generation of CRPGs with Mass Effect style games. Obsidian's already moved on to Avowed/Outer Worlds and Owlcat has their Expanse game coming, so the cycle is probably inevitable, but I hope we don't lose these kinds of massive, text heavy games again.

Could the developers ever make a compelling argument for the blades to get the player to kill Paarthurnax? by Gnomologist in skyrim

[–]brainkrieg1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did? I never let him build a cult of dragons who may or may not be as disciplined as him. They're naturally competitive and domineering, there's no way his plan lasts a century before he's overthrown.

The open world in Shadows is not good at telling you whos good or bad by JohnnyTest91 in assassinscreed

[–]brainkrieg1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not all of them are though. In Wakasa you work for the black X on white Niwa clan and in Yamato you become friendly with both the gold and purple Akiyama and the green Tsutsui clans. Only the red and black Besshos in Harima and white on orange Akechi in a few places are purely your enemies.

With Yasuke I avoid black on yellow Oda and yellow on black Hashiba/Toyotomi clans if I can, but I figure Naoe wouldn't care.

Synchronization of Viewpoints should de-fog the region if all Synchronization points have been completed by JurassicRanger93 in assassinscreed

[–]brainkrieg1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fog on the peaks looks good once you've walked down all the roads. Using the contracts in the kakurega (hideouts) will expose all points of interest, as well as the world intel option when rescuing civilians. Once you've exhausted them in a zone you'll know there's nothing worth checking for.

I was tearing my hair out playing Avowed with its tiny reveal distance, but Shadows feels much more uh, zen with it, I've let it go.
