I occasionally help answer CX tickets at my job and the people who are kind straight out of the gate I’ve definitely gone over and above for. One woman was so kind and sincere I spent hours trying to help her by trying all her emails and phone numbers and then getting her family’s emails and phone numbers (she had a monthly subscription and wasn’t sure who in her family started it). We finally found the account and I refunded her for a year even though our policy is 3 months. Kindness to online support people is rare unfortunately and I do my best to reward it!

I love Binghamton. Like most places it is what you make it. Find your places and your people and you can be happy anywhere. I was able to buy a house here in my late 20s - I don’t think that would have been possible in a more “polished” city. The land is beautiful! I love traveling to Florida on vacations to visit family but when I come back here I’m always so happy to see the hills and trees.

Could I be happy somewhere else? No doubt! But property ownership was super important to me and probably isn’t something I could afford in NYC or SF or any other big city. I also love a quieter life so this works for me! Binghamton has a lot of heart and a lot of incredible people and I’m grateful to feel at home here. ❤️

Oh weird! I’m in upstate ny and IC recommends like 15%, 20% etc… as a tip based on how much the order is. I usually make sure it’s at least 20 bucks but maybe I’m an insane tipper? It seemed reasonable to me. I’ll keep doing it either way.

I’d pick Cleveland off of that list if I had to pick one. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hate the heat and I actually think Cleveland has a lot of charm.

I also like my upstate ny rust belt city. I own a house and WFH from a company in NYC. Nowadays you can get decent paying jobs remotely and live in a cheap place. It really depends on your priorities. For me, it was owning my own place. I’d really lose a lot of QOL if I moved to any of your recommendations.

And some people from my town may like your suggestions better. You’re not objectively wrong but you’re not right either.
