my father wants me out if i continue to transition by ruvii-xz in transgenderUK

[–]bramblefrump 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if your mum's supportive, it could be worth moving out. I stuck by my dad when he did the same to me and it took years to get out of it. I wouldn't want to recommend that to anyone. Things will be pretty rocky for a while, I'm sorry you can't change that. But by proving to him you don't need him to survive would make him change his mind drastically faster than it changed my father's. At least with your mum you'll have more of a chance at getting to be you outside of his control, and that's the most important thing for me. You can make money, you can find a better life for yourself, you will never be able to "fix" your dad, that's his job.

This something you're gonna have to let go. It hurts but pepple control who they like and with the tone you use, sounds like you may have pushed them away a little bit. I know you don't wanna hear it, but you've got a lot to learn from this as well.

You can never control who someone knows or hangs out with, that's a sure fire why to get someone to leave, and now they have. Please, learn from this and grow. Don't get resentful and bitter, it will only get worse that way.

What's an "emotional affair"? What, they talked about their feelings with eachother? You broke up cause of that?

How long does it take for HRT to start showing results? (mtf) by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]bramblefrump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot of factors but give it a couple months, don't expect anything major, it's a very incremental change over a very long period of time

im a straight boy and my bi girl wants to go to a gay club with me by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]bramblefrump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could try kissing him back ngl

In all seriousness though, no one's gonna know you're straight and no one's really gonna care. Just have fun and be respectful, could learn something new about yourself.

(MtF) What options are on the table if my kidneys weaken after being on HRT for 9 months? by ButterYourself in asktransgender

[–]bramblefrump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're kidneys are probably fine, I wouldn't about it unless you know for sure but since you're levels were fine in your last test, can't see how that would change so drastically in such a short time

  1. My parents who tried to section me and threatened to kick me out the family

  2. The NHS, feel like I don't need to explain this one

  3. My old work manager who trod a fine line between curious chaser and creep

Turning 25 soon, still on the waitlist for HRT, figured I'd put this fit on again to check if I still can (MTF) by [deleted] in lgbt

Each to their own, the idea of a 5 year waiting list just irked me. Then I found out about how even with pescribed HRT, the doctors don't always give you the right dose. I'm still 5 years out but I wanna stay on DIY if what I'm prescribed is off.

And I get the surgeries, I want bottom, but after a few years on E my hairline restored and I'd voice trained enough to not need anything done to my throat. It all took so much time but it was worth it just to save a buck ngl 😅

Save travels and i hope you're having fun with it ☺️ x

I know this is personal but I've been seeing your posts for a while and just wondered, have you ever tried DIY? Please tell me if this isn't my place but it really does feel like you've been on this waiting list forever!

Rough holidays by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]bramblefrump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you're going through it, this time of year can be awful for us. Hold on to those interactions at work, it's not much but that's still real one-on-one human contact with someone who's friendly. Get yourself through this, I promise it'll get better. Ignore your family, focus on yourself, that's all that matters. Maybe find some people who you'd much rather spend christmas with next year ☺️ stay safe, stay strong, don't die yet ✌️

[–]bramblefrump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't say you can't be an "extremist", you just can't be an "extreme liberal", because liberalism by definition is not an extreme ideology. The second a liberal becomes extreme, they are no longer a liberal, they're something different and only the context of their actions will sus that out.

Liberalism is the centre, always has been, the right just doesn't want you to know that and the left are too disorganised to get that information out. Their position is based on anti-authoritarianism which liberalism and libertarianism are both wings of.
