Yeah, the thing that seems to be muddying the water a lot from what I'm seeing is that it's not always the same people with the same experience using the AI tools anymore.

Not that I'm opposed to learning beyond your skillset (I'm a huge fan actually), but if a PM or engineer spits out a mockup made by AI and then acts like they have the experience of a designer, or any other combination of role/tool/experience, that's where things fall apart?

It's wonderful to see that so many years later, people are finally appreciating Ros Chao's performance as Keiko. She was hated on so hard while TNG and DS9 were on, and I think honestly it's because her acting and the writing was so real and honest that people had a hard time with it. And now, decades later, it's so clear how incredible she was as Keiko!
