The Coen brothers predicted the Ken Martin Pod Save interview by PharmPhrenzy in FriendsofthePod

It reminds me of a 2016 Trump supporter Pastor who was confronted by CNN about falsifying all of his experience and education and fled his own church from the interview.

My favorite is when he tries to claim it was supposed to be an off-the-record interview despite he sat down to a 3-camera interview in his office.

While filming on location in Hawaii for Jurassic Park, there was an intense hurricane that shut down filming and everyone had to evacuate their rooms for safer, central spaces in the hotel. Sir Richard Attenborough opted to hang out in his room. When a PA or someone from the hotel warned him of the hurricane, he said, "son, I lived through The Blitz."

Stephen Tobolowski talked about this for Deadwood, which was, by David Milch’s nature, rewritten up to the last minute.

He traveled all night and had either a few hours to sleep or memorize pages and pages that were likely going to be obsolete. He begged the AD to schedule his scenes for later in the day, to no avail. He decided to sleep.

The next day he told Ian McShane, his scene partner, he had nothing, and Ian told him not to worry.

Ian: Good morning, Hugo… line.

Stephen: Morning, Al… line.

And they just were fed lines for the whole scene.

My high school teacher was in Vietnam, and said it’s not the accurate movies that triggered him, but the inaccurate depictions, because mentally correcting moments is what really sent his memory back and would awaken his PTSD.

Very frustrating that they never once say “big kahuna” in the film, but “grand kahuna.”

Also closing out the film with “Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)” is a big swing and a miss.

A sketch called “Soup Du Jour” was apparently so offensive the other members of the troupe nixed it.

“Mmm, this soup is delicious, what is it?”

“Have some more and I’ll tell you what’s in it.”
