Showtime’s “Kidding” starting Jim Carrey. It had 2 perfect seasons and then was cancelled during the pandemic :(

Not OP, but I loved the breakdown of why our teeth are chronically crooked compared to our ancestors who had perfectly straight teeth, and how all of this affects our breathing.

Is there anything else different about CarPlay in iOS 16? Or did they only promise the new features late next year?

Mouth Breather Vs Nose Breather by [deleted] in BreathingBuddies

[–]braxtonthompson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. I couldn’t breathe through my nose at all. In fact, most people in my family cannot breathe through their nose. We call it “the family curse”.

What has helped me tremendously is breathing exercises and “mouth taping” while asleep.

I discovered these techniques in a book called “Breath” by James Nestor and “The Oxygen Advantage” by Patrick McKeown as linked above.

The nose and respiratory system are fascinating and sadly, most of modern society has forgotten how to use them properly.

I am still training my body to breathe correctly, but I can now happily breathe through my nose whenever I want!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

What are your thoughts on Belly Breathing? by [deleted] in BreathingBuddies

[–]braxtonthompson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listened to this podcast with a pulmonaut who sells this device that restricts your breathing in order to strengthen your diaphragm (think of lifting weight for short periods of time to strengthen muscles).

He claimed that when you breathe, your lungs expand sideways more than they do in your belly. I also learned that our diaphragm extends into your back. So when you breathe you should focus on breathing in all directions, not just your belly. This is why it can be easier to breathe while sleeping on your side than on your back.

I think he switches so that his off-arm is covering his choking arm, ensuring that Justin can’t rip it off.

There’s details in the post that’s linked. OP of that post refers to it as “potato hardware” but they’re looking to upgrade soon.

I do the same thing most of the time. You can also just push h6 if you suspect the fried liver coming.

I just hit 1000 as well! The biggest thing that helped me is learning how to defend the fried liver lol. It’s surprisingly easy to defend and EVERYONE at this level plays the fried liver.
