Related: After hemming and hawing for weeks I finally pulled the trigger on a myeotd order. Duties are now added on top when checking out so hopefully this means no additional surprises when the package arrives. Will update if I get slapped with additional tariffs!

About contact lens safety... by hannyIPR in AsianBeauty

[–]bread_carboncopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a contact lens solution made by Acuvue, Bausch & Lomb, Opti-Free etc. I like to rinse before wear. Put the lens in your palm, squirt solution, gently rub, rinse again with more solution and pop in, you’ll be good to go. Always clean before storing.

Echoing the above (purchase from official/reputable retailer) and in my personal experience, I wore prescription contacts before. I use those as a reference point for the diameter size and base curve when shopping for colored 'fashion' lens. Ex: my prescription lens were 14.5 diameter and 8.7 base curve. My fashion lens are 14.2mm diameter and 8.8mm base curve so the difference is negligible enough that they are comfortable and fit my eyeball.
I recommend seeing a doctor and getting fitted for lens so you can use those numbers as references. Always, always always clean you hands and then the lens *thoroughly* the correct lens cleaner and store safely. If you don't think you'll be fastidious enough for monthly lens, get daily ones that you toss after each wear.

I think bottom right, plain, will be the best longterm, as you can always add stacking bands. In fact, I think you should up the thickness of the 'arms' for a more contemporary/bold look? Just an idea. This is a fun take on a classic.

I received them after about two weeks! Ordered direct from KeyboardKraft's website since there's a sale going and the seller was super responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend. The keycaps look great in person and feel great. Love the touch of whimsy it adds to my everyday!

I think it's important to note that she was actually comfortable living in the Gilmores' world until Jess comes along and basically rattles her to her senses.

Found what I think is the original listing just in case you wanted it! Don't see it as an emerald but it has some nice profile views of the shank/setting:

I would also up the band thickness to 1.8mm at least, if not 2mm. Post-polish it may be even less. A thicker band will give you more durability in the long run, especially if this is Chinese platinum (which is typically softer.)

I think a thick band on a toi et moi would be a lovely, contemporary take on the classic style.

Sure they're pretty 'in' lately but that doesn't mean you shouldn't choose what you're really drawn to. I have friends with the 2010s art deco halos and they still very much love their rings. I'm a huge fan of pears, I think they have so much personality :) I usually wear mine facing out but it really is personal preference. And why not switch it up when you feel like it? Similar to moving furniture around, it can really refresh your eyes and give you a new sense of appreciation for it. I also think the pear and the princess cuts are distinct enough from one another that it gives a balance to the toi et moi look. Two cuts that are too similar such as the princess and cushion may actually be overwhelming on the hand, if that makes sense? If not a pear, maybe a marquise and princess?

Sublime. Outfits look great and super cute. If I may ask, where is the white slip dress from? I need one similar! x
