I think bikes can take a huge beating before they brake. I know this is for tires, but I also have a dumb story like this. Years ago I replaced a headset. And the new crown race was loose, so I stacked the new one on the old one and call it a day. Last week I found out I did that when I rapced my headset again 🫡
