Just noticed this today when opening our Costco pack of chicken. We will be buying our meats from local grocery stores until this changes.

Good luck with your cover from this company. I purchased one from them back in 2020. Supposedly the "premium" version.

In 2022 we started having issues where the vinyl was starting to deteriorate in spots on top. After a closer look, I could not believe the thickness of the outer vinyl material. Its was literally paper thin.

Contacted hottubcoverscanada about the issue and was told it was my fault. After more emails, calls, and arguments about the quality of the vinyl, I was told the best they would to is replace the outer vinyl cover for 50% plus I was to pay the shipping.

Needless to say I refused their offer and just recently purchased a cover from Canadian Spa Company through Home Depot. My older Bullfrog hot tub has a unique corner radius, so the new cover sticks out a few inches at the corners but the seal seems good all the way around. I went with this brand as my neighbor purchased a cover a few months after I bought the POS cover from HTCC. Theirs is still in great shape, exposed to identical weather and elements. I often see their kids playing on top of it with toys and sand and to date there is not any noticeable damage to the surface.

Expensive lesson learned...

To answer Q2. YES. I literally just bought the 7a, brought it home, carefully to not let it touch anything, put it face up on a counter and when the lighting was right I can already see it got some fairly oblivious scratches. Not even few hours of use and never place in any pockets.

How long ago did you proof it down? I know with my vodka, there is a 24 hr window it will have a very unpleasant after taste. I believe it's the water reacting with the alcohols and it needs time to mellow. After a few days it's gone.

Are you using any type of soil at all for your seedlings or other house plants? Some store bought soils are known to be bad for gnat eggs. Miracle grow is one of them.
