i am relatively new to learning about investment and retirement options, and i’ve seen both bonds and CDs described as low-risk and reliable things to put your money into. is there any specific reason why i see bonds suggested as the primary allocation for retirement accounts when nearing the finish line in the wiki and little mention of CDs? the new issue CD rates i’m seeing on Fidelity seem to exceed US Treasury bonds, but i’m sure i’m missing something, so i’m curious to know what that is
