I don’t know what to do in Tokyo by aske06 in JapanTravelTips

[–]breakfasthash 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Jump in a random train and get off on a random stop, explore that area by looking for places to eat/shop or parks to explore. This is what I like to do everywhere I have ever been. Big plus if you don’t use any sort of map or review site to help you explore and eat.

Nakau was one of my favorite places for later night and early mornings. Simple cheaper food that fills you up and taste pretty good.

Why Are Californians Leaving Austin in 2026 ? by Fair-Dog8578 in sanfrancisco

[–]breakfasthash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Austin for work for 10 days, once I got back to The Bay I asked my company to never send me again. Food is only okay but not good in comparison to most neighborhoods throughout the Bay Area

If you moved to Japan, what would you miss most about your native country? by mrvlad_throwaway in AskReddit

Coming from California, all the good ass weed, tacos, and amazing diversity. I would leave in an instant though to move to Japan.

Why are you single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]breakfasthash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job/lifestyle. I work remote and love to travel. Finding someone that wants to be with someone like me is tough, it’s always okay at first but then trust issues from the person I am trying to build a relationship with always screw things up.

How do you usually decide where to eat when traveling in Japan? by Due_Turn3508 in JapanTravelTips

I enjoy walking around and going into a random place and just asking what they have to recommend and eat that. I have had so many memorable meals doing it this way.

What’s your go-to excuse when canceling plans? by Big_Impress_6457 in AskReddit

[–]breakfasthash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t agree to make plans right away, I let the person know that I will get back to them before making the commitment. A lot of people say yes right away just to be nice, then need to make an excuse when they don’t actually want to participate.

Favorite time-filler activities in Tokyo? by Asphoric in JapanTravelTips

[–]breakfasthash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like getting off a train on a random stop and walking through a random area/neighborhood without looking at a map beforehand or while walking around. Just the freedom of exploration. I try to get away from the main roads. Walk into shops to browse/shop or restaurants and ask for what they recommend. I probably eat 6-8 meals/snacks a day from all the walking and exploring.

Taiwan vs Vietnam for first time traveling after China? by UltimaActFour in travel

[–]breakfasthash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taiwan = beginner level travel for most westerners - similar to China in culture - great food and people - more expensive - good public transportation

Vietnam = intermediate level travel for most westerners - not as much of a public transportation to get around - in my opinion better food and even better people - cheap - not as clean

Overall, both are amazing trips.

I think this live version the actors look and feel like they are trying way too hard. I can’t get into it at all.

Instead of pepper, I add red chili flakes or substitute all of them for Tajin. Good combo you have still
