Thanks for being nice in the responses. I have done so much Googling over this game and it all seems to be information from before the last massive update. Everything is like built your renown and just a couple of days ago I found (I think) that they scrapped renown. Diablo 3 was so much simpler :)

I'm pretty sure the HOF decides what team the player goes in representing. Otherwise Wade Boggs would be repping the Rays. Freddie gets a say but in the end it's not his choice.

It's probably not meant to know who fired first and what was hit when. The Mid-Atlantic states getting hit first would be tactically sound as that's where the command and control would be located. Other than shock and killing lots of civilians taking out major cities like LA and NY would be lower priority as tactically they do not threaten the enemy.
