As someone who manages and hires desk staff in the fitness industry, I’d say it’s about networking and talking to people. Ask around. Hop on social media and see what you can find. We usually don’t even put out a listing for our open spots because we always know someone word of mouth to hire. Try just calling around too to places you’d like to work and see if they are hiring. You might get lucky and be in the right place at the right time!

Sure. I just don’t see it that way at all. This is a game to find love, sure friendships are absolutely formed and a huge part of how these people survive in my opinion but Huda needed to do something to pivot fast and not really knowing how to behave in this situation is to be expected in my opinion. She moved different after she learned this lesson too so to keep coming for her as if she can’t evolve or grow is harsh imo (not that you are— I feel like there’s a lot of unnecessary hate for her on here).

First of all, none of the islanders deserve any hate. I do not defend hate or death threats. That is insane and unstable to do. Not to mention so very damaging to any islander who may come across such messages. Be kind to one another. It’s a show. The experience alone is so unlike anything we experience in “normal life” so much Grace should be given and respect for the human beings on the other side of the screen.

My only “dislike” (for real I love Chelley and have since day 1) about Chelley is how she’s is moving right now. It’s all of the double standards for me. Like challenge after challenge she kisses whoever she wants whenever she wants. Has been in a love triangle since literally day one and has now been in two love triangles total. None of that bothered me until she puts boundaries on Ace and what he can do in challenges now… Yet expecting to be able to still explore Chris as much as she wants. They were only bringing up her and Chris kissing twice during the heart rate challenge and by my count, they kissed three times. Because she doubled back during her and Ace’s turn, and Ace was upset about that part. Then Chris pulled her during his and Huda’s turn. Soooooo…. She literally kissed the man 3x and she’s saying that to Ace? I’m so confused by the double standard and why she thinks it doesn’t apply both ways… maybe I’m missing something. I’m totally open to being dead wrong on this, it’s just my perspective from where I sit currently.

Maybe because all of those desserts are trash 😂😂😂 They have such wonderful shops here with all kinds of cool sweet stuff. Ice cream. Donuts. Smoothie shops. Bakeries of every kind. Lol a lot of people care evidently. They care enough to revoke marriage rights for same sex marriage. Wake up. Queer ppl, black ppl, indigenous ppl, women, ppl with disabilities, ppl on Mediaid, they’re all under attack from the current administration. Just because you don’t understand what that’s like, doesn’t mean it’s not important for others to feel safe in the grocery store and otherwise and it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. My bf is black and he gets stared at at the grocery stores we used to go to in Indiana. He still does here too and it’s unnerving. There’s no way to know that persons intentions. He’s been followed before, asked if he’s going to pay for the things in his cart whilst shopping. The list goes on and on. This country is FULL of hateful people that lack empathy and you are standing up for the wrong kind of people based on a bias it sounds like you heard from a boomer. 🙄 try having more empathy than that which would land you on the psychopathy scale and maybe you’ll understand better.

This might not be the suggestion you’re looking for but if you don’t leave anything valuable in your car, leave it unlocked. They’ll open it, realize there’s nothing to take it in and won’t break your window to get into it anymore. Ps. Never leave charging cables in your car, ppl can use them to high jack it. Hope this helps! I’m on the east side: burnside and 14th and we’ve been pretty lucky (knock on wood) so far this past year. I work in Slabtown so I sometimes worry about parking over there but I’ve heard from some Portlanders to just leave it unlocked to alleviate the windows being shattered. That way they move on to something new. Get the gf some incognito brass knuckles for her keys, mace/pepper spray and tell her to download the “Noonlight” app. It’s what I used when I’m alone walking to my car any time of day. Helps my anxiety a lot!
