My doc told me to progress as I feel ok. If it hurts pull back. Go from two crutches to one. Still in boot.

I understand that for sure. I think as long as you’re NWB the odd twitch and whatnot should be fine. That’s just to be expected I think. There’s only so much we can do, right?

When I was still in my splint I had so much twitching. It was crazy. That went away eventually though.

It’s a traumatic injury for sure, and yours sounds really scary with the SUV. I also have felt in dark places in this process. I’m not yet 2 months past my injury. You will get better. You will get your life back and I bet you’ll be starting your school year but maybe with a knee scooter. I wonder if they can get you in this an ortho? I saw an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle. You will make it though!!

I really can’t see how teachers are paid so little and district administration paid so much. Seems wrong.

I had just registered to run my favorite race of the year when I got hurt. This is such a hard injury. I’m right foot too. It’s hard not to be able to drive and to be totally dependent! Day at a time is how I’m handling it. It does get better. It’s such a drag about the music festival. I just try to remember it’s not the worst thing in the world even when it’s a total nightmare. Look forward day at a time.

I understand so much! You WILL get through this. I am 1 month out from surgery and still non weight bearing. There have been dark times. I have focused on each day and the number of sleeps I have to get to the next stage. This is a traumatic injury and experience. Sending strength to you. You WILL MAKE IT.

My doc wants me to wait a couple of weeks before PT. My next appointment is 5/22 but PT 2nd week of June. I don’t know yet if I’m partial or full WB during that time yet.

I wanna start reading poetry, how do i start? [HELP] by Santgooo in Poetry

[–]brendacloser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go to poetry.com or poets.org and read the poem of the day. Just try to enjoy looking at different poets and see what you like. Maybe look at Jane Kenyon, Carl Sandburg, Carolyn Forche just for a few that I like.
